22.01.2022 [Where do we source our products? - Nuvitas] A fun question to ask and I am curious myself. In a lazy afternoon between doing nothing and sipping tea recovering from a bad cold I made this graph out of curiosity. Without much surprise, Australia made products come out as the majority with almost three quarters of the number of products stocked at Nuvitas. This is entirely aligned with my objectives to support local businesses. I am also a strong believer in supporting local p...roduces, you eat what you produce locally as the main way for a sustainable living. Most of countries in similar spaces are US, UK, NZ, India, Japan and China, which are long term trading partners with Australia. Each has established trading agreements and routes for small businesses like Nuvitas to navigate through at ease. The surprise to me is Switzerland that comes out in top 3. Their products are top-notched, so why was I even surprised? Southeast Asian countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia are all emerging markets, making up a small proportion, but worth watching out for their high quality products. Transparency is the key for us to build trust from our customers and we are working to provide our customers with more information as to where our products come from....
