25.01.2022 A customer procured a 14 metre vessel a few weeks ago . The boat was on the Gold Coast - with one problem - the main engines were scrap . We organised two 6 cylinder Ford diesels , came up with methodology to remove and replace them , and it was off to the Gold Coast . Potentially a 50 k project , it was done for a fraction of this . We work towards cost effective solutions , and deliver what the customer needs....

24.01.2022 Sea water injected engine exhausts don't last forever - this one - fitted to a 500HP Scania - had had enough. All in a day's work at Nuweld .

23.01.2022 Something a little different . We have supported community endeavour in several forms over the years . We have just refurbished ( at the cost of $ 1.00 ) a water tower for the Road Racing Association of Townsville , which in turn donated it to Drive-it for the new motorsport facilty at Calcium . It left our premises on Friday.

21.01.2022 Repurposing an item can be done by modifying it to fit a new use, or by using the item as is in a new way. A friend needed a couple of large planter boxes . A crate we just happened to have laying around was modified to yield two of these beauties - happy gardening :-)

21.01.2022 The Nuweld workshop is equipped with two overhead cranes , with 6 metres under the hooks . This makes trial assembly of this standpipe - bound for a mine in the Bowen basin -easy .

14.01.2022 What's going on here then......Ok , the requirement was for a squat rack / chin up bar / boxing bag / leg up combination device , to be installed in an outdoor location. Tim , Dean and Jordy took it upon themselves to load test prior to painting.........

12.01.2022 Pipework ? We do this all day , everyday . Carbon steel and alloys , compliant with any certification required . Certified welders , in-house AS1796-10 welding supervision , and a comprehensive QA system enables us to produce quality piping at competitive pricing.

11.01.2022 Prototyping and modelling were used to design this pneumatic cutter . Customer was unable to source a machine to suit their requirement , so the team at Nuweld designed and produced this for them . Another satisfied client . Note - guard removed for clarity .

11.01.2022 Designing and building custom machines is one of the things we excel at . The brief from this customer was to come up with a method of reducing soil conglomerates to powder . This is what we came up with for them .

11.01.2022 A happy camper Customer wanted to mount a rooftop tent on his 4WD , that would allow the tent to be erected and the vehicle then driven out from beneath it .....

10.01.2022 It's getting easier and easier to convert concepts to reality . We used 3D modelling , laser cutting , forming and assembly to fabricate this set of pedals for a simulator . We are awaiting delivery of load cells to complete the project. Material : 304 stainless steel .

08.01.2022 "there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats" . The customer wanted an enclosed cab on his Quintrex 6500 . From a rough sketch he provided , we came up with this . Bring us your ideas , and we will make them happen ....
