25.01.2022 Whilst quoting a job for a new customer recently we came across a perfect example of what you risk getting when you buy a budget version of a modern grille-free security door. This door looked convincingly similar to our high quality Panther Mesh screen doors - until the screen pushed out of it!! In fact, it is merely steel mesh in a standard door frame with only a couple of plastic packing strips holding it in place! The mesh has been pushed out of the frame from the inside.... Being a laundry door, it looks like its been accidentally pushed out by the tenant when they bumped the door a little too hard with the laundry basket on their way out. There is nothing wrong with the frame, mesh or lock on this door, but the way they are put together means they are really nothing more than an overpriced fly screen door. A decent kick or two from a would be burglar is all it would take to get through them. So by all means, shop around and explore different options for your security products, but be sure to inquire about the details of the products - including what method they use to attach the screen material to the frame. Panther mesh is held in by their own patented system which has exceeded all Australian standards for security doors including exceeding the impact test 20x over. See more

23.01.2022 We recently completed some Panther Mesh screens for the Quirindi Historical Cottage so that they can secure the door and windows to a new area they are setting up. As well as vastly increasing the security of the old cedar windows and door, it has had the added bonus of tidying up the look of the area as well. Next on the list for the ever busy volunteers over there is to put a coat of matching dark green paint on the surrounding woodwork and what was a neglected back shop door area will look good as new.

15.01.2022 We installed Panther Mesh security window grilles on all of the ground floor windows of a Spanish style Tamworth house last week. The clean, open look of these screens allows for a vast improvement in home security without the obtrusive look of traditional security grilles. The first photo is of a large 2.1m high set of double hung timber windows while the others are aluminium. The colour matched Panther screens have done a great job of tying the look of the house together while keeping the insects and the burglars out at the same time. A big improvement on the old flimsy, faded aluminium screens that they replaced. We often find houses with a mixture of two, three or even four different types of windows, but regardless of what type or size windows you have, we will secure them for you.

07.01.2022 We are both pleased and proud to announce that we are now the sole North West NSW agents for Freedom Retractable Screens. These include a range of - well - retractable flyscreens for both doors and windows :) We have never supplied this type of product in the past as any we have looked at have been either not sturdy enough, bulky/ugly, or hugely expensive - often they are all three.... We have looked into the Freedom range very closely however and are convinced that they address all of the above problems. * Both their door and window screens are very sturdy, with the heavy duty insect screen locked into tracks all round (most arent). *They are very attractive with nice unobtrusive frames in a range of powdercoated colours. * Whilst they are certainly not a budget option you get what you pay for and they are excellent value for money. The video below shows the Infinity doors which is one of their main products, but they also do window screens which are basically a lighter duty vertically opening version of the same thing.
