24.01.2022 Small WW2 Themed camping trip Dylan Woodfield and William Butterfield attended, featuring a hike through rough bush tracks, a visit to an old lighthouse, and a significant lack of sleep. Special guest HMAS Creswell can be seen in the background of the second photo.
21.01.2022 Having a Crack at the Korean war which is quite often living up to its Forgotten War nickname. NXLH Members wear a mix of US and Australian kit. And the time frame they are going for is mid April, 1951, a few days before Kapyong.
18.01.2022 5th of August, 1944, saw the largest POW breakout in modern history. On this day, outside of the New South Wales town of Cowra, Lieutenant Harry Doncaster was killed when ambushed during the recapture of the (Japanese) prisoners. Today we remember the sacrifice of the brave soldiers who defended our way of life, both overseas and at home. 75 years ago, to the day, Harry Doncaster gave his life, and today we pay our respects with a presentation of native flowers, and a moment of silence. It is at times like these we must take time out of our day to remember the men and women who allowed us to get where we are now. Lest we forget.

14.01.2022 A video made by one of our members here at NXLH. Set during one of our private events, where we conducted a patrol down into a local River.
08.01.2022 chatswood rifle range where Australian troops trained form ww1 to the late 1950s , images are remains of the target set up trench and concrete walls and a 1943 Arial photo showing the range at the time. it shows assorted military buildings and rifle positions . the second areal photo shows the site as it is now , unfortunately almost nothing remains except the large trench for targets and assorted building foot prints , it is a shame no preservation work has been done to preserve these items for the future

03.01.2022 In the Pacific War from 1943-45, the Australian Army would often live in small pup tents known as Doovers. In Peter Medcalfes book about his experiances in Bougainville, He writes about living in such a condition in a Swampy, mud area that must be shared with two Diggers. Our little group has tried to make an example of what they would have built over there. -K
