24.01.2022 Hi there everyone. As the CWA of WA representative on the Commission for Occupational Health and Safety in Agriculture, please see the first information post in the new farm safety campaign. With the passing of new Industrial Manslaugher laws, farm safety for all - from visitors to contractors, needs to be a priority for our every day planning. If you could click the link for Safe Ag WA, ‘Like’ the page, and Like and Share the Posts, it will really help to share what has been planned to be a positive safety message. Thankyou Nicola for sharing

23.01.2022 International Rural Women’s Day celebrates the crucial role that women and girls play in ensuring the sustainability of rural households and communities, improv...ing rural livelihoods and overall wellbeing. Women account for a substantial proportion of the agricultural labour force, including informal work, and perform the bulk of unpaid care and domestic work within families and households in rural areas. They make significant contributions to agricultural production, food security and nutrition, land and natural resource management, and building climate resilience. Give yourself a pat on the back today for being a remarkable rural woman our day!!! See more

01.01.2022 This resource was envisaged by a member of the Communications and Marketing Committee who wanted a resource to give to new couples. The purpose of this leaflet ...is not to be scary or to foreshadow problems in a marriage, but is to help young married couples learn about healthy conflict resolution, options for marriage counselling when they do run into difficulties, and recognise emotional and psychological abuse. At first, this approach may seem rather negative, introducing a potentially difficult topic in what should be a happy time. However, Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) is a pandemic in itself, with almost a third of women experiencing some form of IPV in their lives. We hope that you'll be able to use this resource in your community.
