21.01.2022 Swan Hill Rural City Council are reviewing their Road Management Plan and they want to hear from you! The Draft Road Management Plan 2021 applies to all roads within Swan Hill Rural City Council boundaries for which the Council is the Responsible Road Authority, as identified in the Council’s Register of Public Roads. Swan Hill Rural City Council’s Director Infrastructure, Svetla Petkova said the purpose of the review is to update the content of the current plan in accordance... with legislation, as well as make it clearer to all stakeholders who is responsible and what level of service users can expect on our roads. The Road Management Plan outlines how often Council will inspect council managed roads, when a defect is going to be rectified and how long our works crews can take to fix different issues. These levels of service are tied to the classification of a road within the Register of Public Roads. As part of this review, our officers have conducted a full review of all roads to provide clarity, consistency and fairness across the whole network Ms Petkova said. The review of the Register aims to ensure all-weather access to all residences within the Council area, while also creating a network of priority roads and linkages with a higher level of service. The proposed changes have resulted in: 15km of new roads identified 541km of road that gain an upgraded level of service including 89km of road reclassified to Collectors, 19km upgraded to Link and 380km of roads previously not maintained 1281km of road reclassified to Secondary Access including 890km previously classed as Access Roads. The Draft Road Management Plan 2021 and the Register of Public Roads will be available at Council Offices from Friday, 23 April 2021. Council is inviting public submissions on the proposed review and they must be received by Monday, 24 May 2021. Submissions can be made below or via post addressed to the Enterprise Assets Manager, PO Box 488, Swan Hill, Victoria 3585. For more information, contact Council on 5036 2333. See more

12.01.2022 MOBILE TESTING SITE SET UP IN TOOLEYBUC - Due to the Cohuna Rec Reserve now being classed a Tier 2 site, all Kangas & Saints fans MUST get tested & self isolate until a negative result & also showing no symptons. - Murrumbidgee Local Health District have set up a Mobile Testing Van at Tooleybuc Community Health Services for operation on Thursday (27/5) from 1pm-5pm, and Friday (28/5) from 8am-1pm.... - There is also the testing site at the Swan Hill Testing Clinic in High Street (behind hospital). - Also the Central Rivers Board have decided that given the testing and isolation restrictions for the Tooleybuc Manang players and supporters following their possible exposure last weekend, it is not feasible for the club to meet the mandatory requirements in time for the Lake Boga V Tooleybuc Manangatang game this weekend, hence it will be abandoned.

12.01.2022 The important message right now for regional Victorians is if you have been in or near the infection zones in Melbourne you must isolate, get tested and follow the relevant Tier 1, 2 and 3 rules listed on the following exposure site page: https://aus01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/ With this latest outbreak still contained in the capital it is our job to make sure it stays that way. ... We all know the pain Melbourne people will now be feeling with restrictions and their immediate impact on jobs and private lives. It is vital to regional areas to remain open and we will do that by making sure we all follow best practice. And if anyone who has been to Melbourne, or been with someone who has, and you have any symptoms, get tested.
