21.02.2022 We had a fantastic first day back with great attendance and our students and staff feeling very proud in their new uniforms!

02.02.2022 Yapa walalja and friends in Nyirripi, stay safe. This disease is not for just Kartiya, it is very dangerous for everyone. Here are some tips for staying safe: Stay home in Nyirripi if you can, don’t go Tennant Creek, Town or Yuendumu. If people come to Nyirripi from those places, call clinic and tell Sister Ann. Clinic has free masks for you. Wear your mask all the time, wash it every day in soap and water. Don’t share your mask. Wash your hands with soap and water al...l the time. Don’t share smoke or drink, use your own cup, don’t drink from the bottle. Look after yourselves See more

24.01.2022 We welcome our students back for the first Term of 2020! The school yard is full of caterpillars at the moment which is keeping everyone busy 'on the hunt'. We also extend a big congratulations to Nigel and Pauly, who appear to have grown impressive beards over the summer break.

21.01.2022 Hot Springs - Katherine, NT

20.01.2022 A couple of new faces joining the teaching team this year... Cliona (Cli), an Irish expat who comes to us from Yuendumu school with a wealth of Warlpiri knowledge and Clare, a Tassie devil who is fresh out from Melbourne Uni. A perfect combination to give Mr. B some headaches!

19.01.2022 A walk to see the Christmas lights and a quick play (after our cruise) before bed

19.01.2022 The school got some new play equipment and who better to build them than our very own students?! Employing tactile skills, problem solving and teamwork with a very desirable end result, we were proud to watch our clever students working hard for themselves and their school.

19.01.2022 We are proud of our students and community members for the smart action they are taking staying safe with coronavirus. We want the best for our kids and community and always want to help.

18.01.2022 Thank you to our wonderful friends from afar, for their wonderfully generous donations of masks to keep our kids and community safe. K. Archer, Hannah Leonard, Kim Watts, Jane Pickett, Sally Partridge, Tahnee Gul and all the other anonymous donors! THANK YOU! Our little Yinarlingi angels just couldn’t decide which one they loved the most! Thank you so much for your generosity to all those kind hearts who donated. We truly appreciate it

15.01.2022 Devil’s Marbles

10.01.2022 Primary Class (Grades 3-6) using plasticine as tactile learning to support their oral language recount of their summer holiday break! Here we can see the students using the symbol for 'people' that gets used in Indigenous paintings in their mouldings- people swimming in the creek! We also have a camp bed, camp fire and billy can, a car on a bush trip, and a Nyirripi Demon playing footy!

08.01.2022 Nganimpa-ngalu yanu wirlinyi Wardapi manu yunkaranyi! First bush trip of the year done and dusted (plenty of dust)! No luck finding any Wardapi (goanna), but great success in finding plenty of tasty little honey ants! A first time taste for our new teachers Mamta and Clare, who were very grateful for all the tireless hard work of our powerful Yapa women digging out these little treats. The ants were plentiful after the amazing rains we have had over the past week.

08.01.2022 Last week we took the W.E.T.T bush bus out to Lake Bennett to learn about tracking and tallying the Kuyu (animals) and Juurlpu (birds) we found there. Our Primary Class hosts Lulu, Amalea and Kamaul have done a fantastic job sharing their culture and knowledge in this video - we are very proud of them!

21.12.2021 Marlu and Yinarlingi classes continued their garden work with Arid Edge Environmental Services. They built wire waves for the pumpkins and watermelons vines to grow on, painted garden signs, baked a chocolate Zucchini cake and cooked up garden burgers for the community to enjoy. Remember anyone can visit the garden to take home herbs and vegetables whenever they want.

10.12.2021 Kurdu-Kurdu from Yinarlingi and Yunkaranyi classes working with the team from Arid Edge Environmental Services on the Nyirripi Community gardens jalangaju. We learned about summer fruit and vegetables and that planting a marigold flower next to a tomato plant will help bring bees which makes the garden healthy! Ngurrjunyayirni! We also learned how to remove punku buffle grass which chokes our fruit trees . Thanks to Carmen and Mia from Arid Edge
