25.01.2022 Racing today at Bedgerabong Picnic Race Club Inc. Brett has 6 runners with Cheselbeach looking to break its maiden status in Race 1 at 1.30pm. On a Promise will be looking to tick up another win along with Bray. Blue Channel & Lucienne will take on each other in the Bedgerabong Cup which will be interesting as they both like a good tussle over 1400m. King Joffrey rounds out the day in Race 6 and will definitely give the home turn a good viewing.... Rodney has Arkum Asylum still trying to break his maiden status in Race 1. He has been so close lately and today may be his day. Maddison Wright has a full book today and will be pushing them hard on the line.

24.01.2022 Good luck to our trainers today at Gilgandra Jockey Club. Brett has 2 runners today with On a Promise off last start win at Coonabarabran and Combogolong in Race 2. Garry has 3 runners today with Boomshake the Room, Another Plan and Oxygen Man.... Rodney has Drummed Out, Scarpa and Nepenthes which all have Maddy as the pilot. Maddison Wright has a full book - 6 races, 6 rides for the day.

22.01.2022 ***************COUNTRY CUPS*************** COBAR Located at the crossroads of the Barrier Highway and Kidman Way in the central west of NSW a 3 hour d...rive west of Dubbo is Cobar, a fascinating town with a rich mining history. It has a particularly strong connection with copper thus earning the moniker ‘Copper City’ and even today the New Cobar Open Cut Gold Mine and Peak Gold Mine are essential parts of a visitor’s itinerary. A deceptive town with a rough exterior behind within the town is a beautiful town centre with many of the early buildings still standing as well as an exceptional museum, classic country cafes, restaurants and pubs. And an hour north west of Cobar is the Mount Grenfell Historic Site an art site walk which takes you through cypress pines to rocky overhang adorned with picturesque Aboriginal rock art and are some of Australia’s largest and most important. Cobar has been home commander Robert William Rankin, rugby league player Nik Kosef and cricketer Ernie Toshack member of Bradman’s Invincibles. The 1,700m Cobar Cup (8k) attracts a small field of 5 including a pair of Connie Greig runners, #Valadyium found some form last start when a distant second last start in the Nyngan Cup and only gone over the mile twice before finishing well back, tough to gauge. However I’m going lean stablemate #Naoko ran third twice in 5 starts this campaign and 2 from 2 on the Cobar track taking out the Cobar Picnic Cup last year and also not bad at the trip (12:3-1-2) either. Obviously the main danger is top weight #Lucienne, won the Trangie Cup 4 back before back to back placings at Wellington and Bourke and the key is Brett Robb has booked Dylan Stanley a 4kg claimer which brings the mare down to the same weight as the rest of the field, top pick. #MontereyMagic should lead comfortably and steal some cheap sectionals and possibly the Cup, Allan Prisk brings him up in distance where he has placed once in 4 starts. The last of the field is #ChicagoNights the Heidi Smith galloper who is 1 from 2 at the trip, however only two wins the last being October 2019. LUCIENNE, Naoko, Valadyium 2020 Winner AUSTIN ridden by Wendy Peel and trained by Rodney Robb ------------------------------------------------------------ QUAMBONE A charming little town about a 2 hour drive from Dubbo is Quambone, only a population of around 200 and houses two quaint bush churches, general store, hotel/motel, tennis courts, swimming pool, a two teacher school and the smallest operational library in NSW. The main attraction being the beautiful Macquarie Marshes, a major colonial waterbird nesting area but a couple of big annual events hosted within the town are the Quambone Polocrosse Carnival in July/August and the Marthaguy Picnic Races this Saturday. The best of the Picnic scene make their way out as they continue to rack up as many points as possible with the 1,400m Marthaguy Picnic Cup (5k) the feature which also has a small field engaged of 6 including the dual nominated #Valadyium. Connie Greig has another runner #Equilibrium who resumed at Nyngan last start finishing well back, he has won and placed previously when first up and could surprise but looking elsewhere. The Lunn family will have a couple hopefuls and both look like solid chances, Dar has veteran #Zoutenant over 100 starts for the war horse, third 3 back in the Trangie Cup and has good form over the 1,400m (24:4-1-3). Garry saddles up #Kallie who’s been up for a while but 2 wins and 2 places from her last 9 starts brings her into the picture plus draws the inside. I like Peter Reynolds’ #NevadaSunrise coming in off a second in the Tomingley Picnic Cup and a two time at the distance plus Maddison Wright had success the one time they teamed up. Peter Sinclair’s #LibertyHead will be carrying 8.5kg more than his rivals, in great touch winning and placing once apiece in his last 3 starts and solid at the trip (3:1-0-1). 20.01.2022 Today racing comes form Bathurst Thoroughbred Racing. Rodney has 3 starters today. Scarpa jumps in Race 4 at 3.32pm and is trying to find his form from last month. Race 5 sees Harwok'n'zoff trying to add to his nice win at Dubbo last start. This confidence may help him today.... Race 6 sees stable stalwart Drummed Out head out to back up off an impressive win at Dubbo less than a fortnight ago. Clayton has 3 rides today all with Rodney. Good luck boys.

16.01.2022 Today racing is at Wellington Race Club NSW. Brett has 4 runners with Bean Hot kicking off in Race 1 at 12.55pm after an impressive run home last week this might be one to watch. Kogi Lass is heading around in Race 4 with Liucienne in Race 8 and Blue Channel in Race 9. Rodney has Spinher in Race 8 and this horse has been hitting its straps of late so another to keep an eye on.... Good luck to everyone.

15.01.2022 We are racing at Dubbo Turf Club today. Brett has one runner - Great Buy in Race 4 at 3.20pm will be looking to add a win to his credentials today. Rodney has 6 going around today.... He begins in Race 2 with Yallah Sunrise and Tells Tails. We also see Spinher, Angie Emm, with Rogue Runner in Race 6 and Blackadder in Race 7 rounding out his day. Garry begins with Oxygen Man in Race 1 at 1.35pm trying to break its maiden form. Boomshake the Room is in Race 7 is looking to improve on last run. Good luck to everyone.

14.01.2022 We have 4 runners out of the 12 in the Picnic Championship that will be held on Sunday at Dubbo Turf Club. One third of the field hail from Nyngan trainers Rodney Robb & Garry Bignell. Plus, we have the first emergency too, so we could have 5 runners.

11.01.2022 Racing today at Dubbo Turf Club which is looking great. Brett has five runners with stable hot shot Bean Hot begining in Race 1 at 2.05pm who is out to break its maiden status. Race 2 sees Kogi Lass chasing down her first win then Chastise in Race 4 who doesn't mind the Dubbo track winning here last time. Race 6 sees Skullharderson & Peloso Lass go head to head. This will be interesteing as Skullharderson is coming off a last start win with Peolos Lass has gained some race fi...tness, no doubt both will be giving each other a rattle along. Clayton has a full book of rides today. Good luck to everyone.

He also has Bryan's Babe & Sipharderson going head to head in Race 6. Rodney has 6 runners today kicking off in Race 2 at 1.20pm. Themorsa and Scarpa are racing along with last start winners Gisela's Crown and So Good to Me which both come off great wins at Orange recently.... 09.01.2022 Racing today sees the picnic races at Wellington Race Club NSW. Brett has 2 runners for the day. Race 5 at 4.10pm starts his day with Blue Channel who has come off a lovely run off this track only a few weeks ago. Race 6 sees Cheselbeach combine with Maddy on the picnic scene and could be a danger given his picnic form. Rodney has Arkum Asylum jumping in Race 6 who is looking for notch up his first win. Fingers crossed it might be today.... Maddy has a full book of rides today - 6 rides in 6 races - and teams up with some of her usual favourites. Good luck to everyone.

08.01.2022 Good luck today at Dubbo Turf Club for our local trainers and jockeys. Brett has 3 runners today with Lucienne in Race 6, and Festival of Light and Bryan's Babe in Race 9. Rodney has 6 runners with 3 of them in the Picnic Championship. In Race 4 Scarpa will jump then SOns of Bourke in Race 6. Race 9 sees Thermosa and Good Time Charlie run in the sprint.... Garry has 2 runners in the Picnic Championship too. Clayton has 5 rides for the day while Maddy has 1 in the Picnic Championship. Good luck to all, safe riding.

04.01.2022 Today we are at Narromine Races with 9 races on the card. Brett has Occasional in Race 2 at 1.10pm. After an impressive run home last start at Coonabarbran she is one to check out. Rodney has 5 horses racing today starting in Race 3. Poetic Harmony is coming off a good run at its last start in Dubbo and Shwanky Do came home well in its run at Mudgee.... Clayton has 6 rides for the day.

03.01.2022 Today sees the running or the NSW Picninc Championship at Dubbo Turf Club with 5 Nyngan horses making up the field of 12. Race 5 on the program jumps at 2.30pm. Garry has two runners. Another Plan who has been in good form of late stepping up in class since its Moree win. Pullman Brown earned his points early in the season but is sure to shake things up.... Rodney has 3 runners today. Rogue Runner has earnt being the race favourite especially based on his current form and leading Picnic Jockey Maddison Wright on board. Drummed Out has continuend to run into form since his start at Nyngan in July. Policy has snuck in under the radar and has surprised a few with his good form althought hte distance is a bit of a concern. Good luck to our trainers, our jockeys and our local owners - we hope that Nyngan can bring back the Picninc Championship Cup home once again.

02.01.2022 Today racing comes from the Randwick of the West - Warren Jockey Club. Brett has 3 runners today with Occasional starting in Race 3 who is findig form on these big tracks. Race 8 sees Sipharderson and Blue Channel go head to head with Sipharderson trying to improve on its placings and Blue Channel back ready after a nice spell. Rodney has 6 runners today beginning with Nepenthes in Race 3. He also has inform So Good To Me and Gisela's Crown heading around along with Matter of... Factor who doesn't mind the Warren track. Race 7 sees the hotly contested sprint race where he has Thermosa and Good Time Charlie both wanting line hours however there is some concern about the weight that Thermosa will be carrying. Garry has 2 runners today with Oxygen Man starting in Race 1 who will be out to break his maiden status. Race 6 sees stable stalwart Boomshake the Room who has been in form lately and once again teams with Michael Heagney. Clayton has 7 rides for the 8 race meeting. Good luck to all.

01.01.2022 Nominations are in for the Showcase Picnic Championship at Dubbo on Sunday. 5 Nyngan horses have been nominated. Thursday will be acceptances - fingers crossed all 5 runners make it into the final 12.
