24.01.2022 Would you like to learn Auslan? (Australian Sign Language) Our local TAFE is looking for expressions of interest from people who would like to undertake Certificate II and Certificate III in Auslan. When: Due to commence 1st semester 2021 at TAFE NSW Nyngan Delivery: One weekend a month, face to face over 12 months. Full weekend of training (Fri 5-8, Sat 9-4, Sun 9-3)... Cost: Auslan qualifications are fully subsidised. No direct cost to students. For this course to go ahead TAFE requires 6 serious participants willing to do both qualifications. 19.01.2022 Check out #TeamNyngans Christmas in July celebrations. The team celebrated with the residents. They enjoyed a baked dinner and mini puddings with all the trimmi...ngs. This year was a little different with social distancing in place but that didn't stop the Christmas cheer! Thanks to all the staff for making it extra special, including the hotel services who provided a magnificent feast for all! Now for a little post-Christmas feast nap! #TeamNyngan #SaturdaySmile

14.01.2022 Reminder that a bike maintenance workshop is being held at Larkin Oval this Sunday (16th Aug) between 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. where tyre flat proofing ($5/wheel) and minor repairs can be attended to, so your bike will be in tip top shape to take on the "Loop the Levee" on Sunday 30th.

12.01.2022 Are you interested in improving rural womens health? Are you living in western NSW? Are you a woman aged 18-74?... Cervical cancer kills more women in rural communities but can be easily detected and managed through the National Cervical Screening Program. There have recently been some changes to the program and we would like to hear your thoughts on them. We are fourth year medical students from Western Sydney University, currently on placement at Bathurst Base Hospital. We have developed a quick 5-10 minute survey and would really appreciate your participation. Please help us improve the health of women in our rural communities!

10.01.2022 NYNGAN | A mobile COVID-19 testing service will be available in Nyngan on Tuesday 4 August 2020 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. The testing service will be set up at th...e Rest Area, Mitchell Highway, Nyngan. We encourage anyone with symptoms - even if they are mild - to be tested. Symptoms associated with COVID-19 include: fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore/scratchy throat, runny nose, tiredness and muscle aches. Tests are free and you don't need a referral or appointment to attend. Staff will come to you in your car to collect information and swabs of your throat and nose. Those swabs are sent away for testing and results are normally available in 24 - 72 hours. If you have any questions or concerns you can call the National Coronavirus Helpline on 1800 020 080 or healthdirect on 1800 022 222. #covid19test #covid19 #Nyngan
