25.01.2022 This has just been posted on the Dubbo Netball site. Good afternoon everyone, DNA regretfully advises that there will be no additional spectators allowed for the final's series. This follows advice from Netball NSW today reaffirming spectator limits as per the Community Sports Guidelines. The guidelines state:... "For local activities, limit spectators to one parent only, where the child requires parental supervision during the sporting activity. " DNA had commenced arrangements to allow 10 spectators per team, but today's memo has meant that this cannot happen. As a result, court numbers for finals are as follows: Up to 12 registered members of the team (players) + Coach and Manager Only. You cannot substitute spectators for players if you have less than 12 players. This ensures fairness for all parents and spectators. Timekeepers, scorers and umpires will be supplied by DNA. All other spectators must be behind the boundary fences or barriers. Please advise all of your teams who are participating in finals this weekend. Please ensure all parents are aware of these arrangements and follow the DNA Covid-19 Safety Plan. Covid Safety Officers are expected to continue moving around the courts during all timeslots unless directed by the executive to supervise a game. Should you feel there is a need for an exemption, it must be received in writing by 5pm Friday 11/9/20. All exemption requests are to be sent to [email protected] Netball NSW and Dubbo Netball Association understand this has been a difficult and trying year. Throughout 2020 we have had to adjust to events and celebrations we have looked forward to in the past being cancelled or done differently than in years gone by. We thank you for your ongoing co-operation with the NSW Health guidelines. Kind regards Karen Weekes DNA President

15.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's netball season in the Dubbo competition. It was certainly a different season impacted by covid 19 but we were so grateful to have netball at all. Thank you to Dubbo Netball committee for all their efforts to ensure the season could run within health guidelines. This year we had 6 teams travel over the shortened season of 7 rounds. All teams are to be congratulated on always playing to their best and representing Nyngan to ...the high standard they always do. A big thank you to all the players, coaches, managers, committee and parents for a great season. Nyngan had 3 teams make semis, A reserve, B grade and Div 1, with our B grade side then playing in their grandfinal. What a game that was! Very highly contested with the lead swapping throughout the game. Mark Beetson steered this side and is our longest serving coach still currently with Nyngan Netball and also a life member of our club. Thanks Mark for your expertise with this side. I know they appreciated your efforts. This side is made up of some long standing players, some returning ones and also some first timers to this team. They dont get to train all together with some living in Dubbo and some here in Nyngan but regardless they gelled really well to finish minor premiers. The grandfinal came down to just having 7 players left able to play with Emma Beetson breaking her arm in the semi final (continued to play in that game unaware her arm was broken!) and Brie Wardman was also out for grandfinal but ably assisted Mark on the sideline. Emma's GS position was capably filled by Nikita Weldon connecting really well with Britt Burt who played a highly energetic game in GA. These two moved very well in the shooting circle and were a force to be reckoned with against tough defence. Jess Gibson showed amazing stamina playing centre for the full game and was ably supported by Ebony Wardman in WA who was always an option to the ball and fed well to the circle. Taylor McBrien had a great game in WD and not only supported the movement of the ball down court but also got her hands on numerous valuable intercepts. Then down to the defence circle covered by Shai Franklin-Noke in GD and Lily Smith in GK. The girls kept the pressure on forcing a number of misfeeds to the opposition shooters and also rebounded well. Shai was also always there as an option through the midcourt. Half time saw our girls in front by 1. Final score had them down by 5 but was a super valiant effort with no subs. Every player gave it their all and should be very proud of their efforts. Lets hope next year is back to a bit more normality and we do trust everyone had an enjoyable season. Good luck to the junior footy with 3 sides in grand finals next week after every grade made their semis. Go Tigers !! See more

07.01.2022 Hi everyone 2 rounds to go ! Then hopefully some sides will make semis and finals. Update with covid. We have been advised the person wearing the covid jacket must be registered with club, for insurance purposes, so must be a player or a registered non player. Our non players that are registered are our executive committee. In addition the wearer of the jacket must not be staying courtside on one court and they need to move around doing the rounds to ensure everyone is abi...ding by covid plan. So unfortunately our little run of sneaking an extra parent/ friend courtside with the jacket has to cease - we weren't the only club doing this but can't continue now. Hence we are back to coach, manager and scorer courtside and rest behind the barriers. Also means we have to have a committee member/player with covid jacket at every time slot that we play. For semis and finals there is possibility that on courtside it will be one person per player (in addition to coach and manager I think - dont quote me) but this will all need to be confirmed closer as rules from NSW Health may change before then. Goodluck for next 2 rounds and hope we get as many as possible to semis Cheers Jodi
