22.01.2022 If you have had a conversation with NZ Inventor Tim recently, you will know that he has a slight obsession with geodesic domes! Here is his latest 3d printed project; geodesic dome connectors. These can be used to connect bamboo or tent poles to the design you desire and, before no time, you can have your own geodesic dome structure! #geodesic #3dprinting #jacquefresco #venusproject

18.01.2022 All 3D printed items in our workshop are made with P.L.A. which is made from fermented plant materials instead of plastic. Here's a cool fact from Wikipedia. 'Being able to degrade into innocuous lactic acid, PLA is used as medical implants in the form of anchors, screws, plates, pins, rods, and as a mesh.[31] Depending on the exact type used, it breaks down inside the body within 6 months to 2 years. This gradual degradation is desirable for a support structure, because it gradually transfers the load to the body (e.g. the bone) as that area heals. The strength characteristics of PLA and PLLA implants are well documented.[32]'
