06.01.2022 Just got asked how to pronounce Kauri. Its spoken like 'Cow-Ree'. Kauri represents the ancient strength of the forest in Maori folklore. The largest known Kauri tree in NZ today is Tane Mahuta meaning 'Lord of the Forest' and stands at 52m tall.

02.01.2022 This beautiful chunk of wood is called 'White Bait Kauri"! For those who don't know, whitebait is a small fish used in NZ to make delicious fritters. The wood grain is a soft white colour. Hence the name. Have a great long weekend this week!
