25.01.2022 This Sunday we are back at PCYC. YAHOO!! Its been an awesome couple of weeks as Church family, and we can't wait to be back at the Centre all together! This Sunday we have the joy of hearing from Nathan Marshall, who both works with our movement at Fresh Hope, and sits on our Oak City Church Leadership Team. He is going to be sharing as part of our 'True and Beautiful' Series, what does it look like to hit the Wall? Both Spiritually and Emotionally. One of those idea's many o...f us love to avoid. Coffee from 9:30am, Gathering commences Online and at PCYC from 10am. See you then!!

25.01.2022 God has placed his incredible potential within each and everyone of us. What is required? Deep Roots, the right soil, and a community to cheer you on!

24.01.2022 One of the incredible things about Relationship vs. Religion, is that Jesus invites each and everyone of us to begin to move towards, and follow him. In Jesus time, people would sit with Jesus, eat with Jesus, and ask him all sorts of questions. They didn't yet 'believe' in him or his claims. But he invited them on the journey, and they checked it out for themselves. The same is true us as disciples in 2020. The invitation is not towards more knowledge or religious duty. It'...s towards practicing the words, works and ways of Jesus. Maybe you're simply curious about this Jesus character, and some of the things he said and did. What a great place to start! Maybe you've been 'following' Jesus for some time, but don't know where to start. Simple is best; get to know your neighbour, don't spend all your time scrolling that for that which you can do nothing. Obedience is God's Love language.

23.01.2022 This morning was one of those mornings where we caught a glimpse of what God has been up to since the beginning of Oak City Church. Seeds beginning to germinate and lives being invited into deep transformation. A great week and morning with Gods family across the generations

23.01.2022 Cannot wait to be together both online, as well as at PCYC. A rich new series starting, and all the goodies we know and love about church family.

23.01.2022 Tomorrow we are heading into Week 2 of our "True and Beautiful" Series with Geoff Hall sharing on what it means to "Know and become your Authentic self". A rich invitation to each and everyone of us, no matter where we are at, in the light of Jesus transformation. Off the back of an incredible Sunday last weekend, make sure you join us for coffee from 9:30am at PCYC, or online at 10am. See you there!

23.01.2022 For such a time as this // While Oak City Church was always a calling seeded in the hearts of a small group of Jesus followers. We have come to see more and more, that God has gone ahead of us, with Blacktown as a Council Area projected to grow by some 42% in the next 20 years. Blacktown and beyond have been land marked as one of Sydneys next great people centres, and he has called us as church, along with other churches in the area now and to come, to play our part in the advancing of the Kingdom: as a hospital for the broken, hope for the hopeless, and a Covenant Community full of meaning and purpose for the Lost. What an exciting time to be alive and on an adventure WITH Jesus.

21.01.2022 Today is an exciting day for Oak City as we start of our journey with @bdc_anz . A process all about having Discipleship as the heart beat of all we do as a church. Thankful for @estevo2 and the team!

21.01.2022 We are back this Sunday at PCYC after an awesome weekend of Open House Gatherings. Join us us in person or online, as John Crowther from Fresh Hope shares with us. Fun for the kids, coffee, and great hangs available for all!

20.01.2022 The desperate need today is not for a greater number of intelligent people, or gifted people, but for deep people Richard Foster. Such a profound morning this morning looking at what it means to become aware of ourselves and all that means for growing whole in our emotional and spiritual maturity. Particularly as we are here there and everywhere in the next couple of weekends; with Sabbath weekend, Open House, and then Oak City Retreat. @ PCYC Blacktown

20.01.2022 From Start to Finish, what a ripper day sharing Open House. Loved being able to adapt, and be able to creatively be together across two gatherings as Gods family.

19.01.2022 We dont want to just talk about being a good mate, we want to live it tangible everyday. Love this initative, all about simply reaching out and checking in on one another. This year the campaign talks about simple things you can say if someone doesnt seem ok or has shared they are going through a rough patch. If youre ever feeling low we want you to know we are here to listen We are in this together.

14.01.2022 We've got a big couple of weeks ahead in the life of Oak City. With time to rest, connect in more intimate settings with Huddles, and our Second annual Oak City weekend away. Plenty of ways to connect, and be part of all that God is doing at the moment. Be sure to make contact if you would like to be involved

13.01.2022 A Special Shout our to our friends at @twobyfourcafe ! An absolute oasis in the heart of Blacktown, and a favourite of many in the Oak City Family.

09.01.2022 This weekend as part of our Rhythms, is SABBATH WEEKEND. Sabbath can have a whole bunch of confusing conotations, and often people wonder what it means as New Testament believers. At Oak City, we are committed to COUNTER-FORMATION. That meaning that we wanted to be formed in the ways of the Kingdom, rather than the hustle and bustle of this world, and the world shaping us rather than APPRENTICESHIP to JESUS. Take a watch of this short Sabbath devotion from Mitch, as he shares what it means to him, and how we can enter into it, and delight in God.

09.01.2022 Tomorrow is a special day in the life of our Church! Speaking a word into the season ahead, we would love for you to join us in person or Online! :)

07.01.2022 In case you Missed it We are still BUZZING from Sunday's Vision Sunday. The Vision is BIG, but our GOD is BIGGER, and has laid this powerful mandate on the heart of our Church. An incredible adventure lays ahead!

06.01.2022 2021 is the year of Oak City Church beginning to play its role in the Spiritual Awakening of Blacktown. It starts first on our knee's, and in humble obedience in the little things. But God has always been looking for a church that might resolve to AWAKEN, and with God's help, do impossible things in Jesus name. To catch all of Charlie's message head to our Facebook page.

03.01.2022 This Sunday we are heading into Week 2 of our "True and Beautiful" Series with Geoff Hall sharing on what it means to "Know and become your Authentic self". A rich invitation to each and everyone of us, no matter where we are at, in the light of Jesus transformation. Off the back of an incredible sunday last weekend, make sure you join us for coffee from 9:30am at PCYC, or online at 10am. See you there!

02.01.2022 REMINDER: This Weekend is our regular Sabbath Rhythm. No Official Church Gatherings this weekend. An opportunity to Rest, breathe in Eternity, and enjoy God's Backyard. Go camping, read poetry, enjoy a bottle of wine, spend time with Loved Ones. This Mission is God's, and we live from a place of his Rest

02.01.2022 This weekend is our first weekend of the month, Open House Weekend! Yet due to current restrictions that remain in place, with regards to larger gatherings either in homes, or in public places/venues, we are scattering into our Huddles over the weekend. For those who might be wondering what Huddles are; Huddles are groups of 3-4 people who commit together to support one another, share life, and cheer one another on. ... While Church can be larger groups, meeting on a Sunday, the church since its birth has always been called to meet together in homes, sharing meals, and live as an alternate community within a world that can be so disconnected. The New Testament mentions 'One another-ing' 100 times in 94 verses. And in Huddles, we are 'one another-ing'. Caring for, sharing burdens, praying, spurring one another on. If you'd like to join one of our Huddles, give us a holla!

02.01.2022 An encouragement from Charlie as you head into your weekend around some of the characteristics of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.

01.01.2022 We are pumped to be kicking off Oak City Youth on Thursday night What better time to start something mid pandemic Seriously though, we are SO passionate about young people in Blacktown that it cant wait!
