23.01.2022 Oakbank Trainer Kirsten Mooney achieves more success in 2021! The Kirsten Mooney Racing Stables team won again, this time at Strathalbyn on Wednesday the 13th of January, with their 4 year old mare Nanamu winning its Maiden on her eighth start. Perfectly ridden by Jason Holder, Nanamu loved her first attempt over the longer run of 1600m and won well on the line.... This local stable is having a great success in recent times, with three winners and two thirds and two fourths 2 in their last 9 starts. To let you know a little about John, he is a solicitor with Lindbloms Lawyers in Adelaide practicing in Family Law and Criminal Law. He has had a number of senior roles including as CEO of the Australian Hotels Association (SA) and Chief of Staff to the Leader of the Opposition (SA), and former CEO of Harness Racing SA. ... He is a graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon and served with the United Nations in Cambodia. John’s family have a long history in racing including owning and racing a number of horses. His family own the iconic Emerald Hotel in South Melbourne, a horse racing institution and known as the home of racing! John brings to our committee his legal and business acumen and passion for racing as well as access to his great network of connections to assist us in the growth of our club.
