Use Bailey's Grosorb, available in granules or concentrate, and hydrophobic sand will be erased from your memory. We sell this product because it works! Keep the moisture where you need it and your lawns and gardens will reward you!

20.01.2022 For all the lawnies out there, we are now stocking 1L bottles of Baileys GT Green Plus and Baileys Iron & Manganese premium foliar turf fertilisers. Both are enriched with humic acid to optimise nutrient uptake, both promote rapid, deep greening. The iron & manganese is great to prolong the growing season and also promote an earlier entry into the new season. It does not contain nitrogen, which means you can green your lawn without excessive mowing. The Gt Green encourages rapid greening, vigorous growth and improves the overall health of your lawn. These measures are in place to protect our staff and customers and we appreciate your support in helping us remain open as long as we are able to. Drive in to the shop carpark as normal. You can either: 1) wait in your car, or ... 2) come to the temporary "counter" set up at the front door. Our staff will assemble the goods you need and bring EFTPOS and goods out to you. EFTPOS is the preferred method of payment, please. Chairs are spaced 2m apart in case you have to wait. Everything is disinfected regularly, and staff will be wearing gloves at all times. We greatly appreciate your support during these uncertain and trying times we all face. PLEASE also do not visit our store if you have cold and flu symptoms, are in isolation, or have been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case.

13.01.2022 The humble pressure tank is often misunderstood by many of our customers so we feel a couple of key points should be explained. First, it is important to routinely check the air pressure in your tank. These pieces of equipment utilise the same air valves as your car and bike tyres, so just as you would check tyre pressure knowing that it will slowly decrease, you should also check your tank pressure. To do this turn the power to your pump off and open a nearby tap to disch...arge the pressure in your line. Next, simply inflate your tank to the specified pressure (usually somewhere between 18 and 30 psi with 24psi being a fairly safe bet if you are unsure). Close the open tap, turn your power back on and you are ready to go. It is also a common misconception that a reduction in water pressure in your house is due to tank failure. These tanks do not generate your water pressure, they simply offer a volume of water with stored pressure, thus allowing the pump to initiate less frequently, saving on power usage and wear. If your max water pressure in your house is not what it used to be you will have problems elsewhere. Common causes can be damage in your pump's liquid end, clogged filters on your discharge line, leaking pipes or fittings etc. Ask us for help with diagnosis and we may be able to prevent you needlessly purchasing a new tank! 01.01.2022 It wasn't until I ripped up my front lawn to improve my reticulation that I realised just how amateur my so called professional landscaper was. One thing that I found particularly annoying was the use of electrical tape to join the solenoid wires. The issue with this is that the exposed wire is not protected from moisture. Wires corrode over time and the corrosion will work up the wire, inside the plastic sheath. Using these simple and cheap Scotchlok joiners eliminates this ...problem. They cut into all wires with a blade, forming a contact and then encapsulate the metal in silicone to protect from moisture. Don't be like the guy that did my lawn, be a pro, do it right and if you don't know, come in and ask us for some friendly guidance!
