23.01.2022 Oakhurst Preschool is about to undergo its National Quality Standard (NQS) assessment. All Early Childhood Education and Care Services regularly undergo this assessment that is carried out by the Department of Education. Officers spend 1 to 2 days at each service assessing them on 7 Quality Areas and 15 Standards. The 7 areas are; - Educational Program & Practice - Children’s Health & Safety - Physical Environment ... - Staffing Arrangements - Relationships with Children - Partnerships with Families & Communities - Leadership & Service Management They also ensure we are meeting regulations and licensing guidelines. 04.01.2022 Dear Families, Unfortunately, due to covid we are unable to hold our yearly Christmas party or Graduation night However, we will be having a Christmas themed dress up week from the 14th-18th December and Santa will come to visit everyday of that week to gift a present to each child. On the 16th December we will be holding a mini Graduation party for the children who are graduating to big school next year. They will be given their certificates, enjoy some snacks & a disco.... Strictly no parents will be allowed to attend due to covid. We ask that you drop your child off at 6pm and pick them up between 7-7:30pm but they must be picked up by 7:30pm. We will be taking many photos & videos of the night & will be posting them on our Facebook page! Dress to impress!

01.01.2022 OOSHIES Woolworths are not able to hold swap days for Ooshies due to COVID-19 restrictions. To help children complete their sets we will be having a swap service. Send in your child’s spare Ooshies in a bag labelled with their name and list of Ooshies they need please. All Ooshie will be disinfected before swapping. Bring in your spare Ooshies and your list we will send home the Ooshies you need as we collect them. Happy Ooshie collecting
