20.01.2022 +++// a. c.h.a.n.g.e. i.n. d.i.r.e.c.t.i.o.n //+++ I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year :) After some careful thinking, I've made the decision not to take any more bookings for weddings this year as I want to focus on my little family and enjoy every moment I have with Rory while she's so little (aside from the screaming moments, ha!)... This year I am really excited because I am going to create gift boxes for all different events - I absolutely love creating them and coming up with goodies to put inside them. I am going to do my best to support local business as much as possible and include beautifully handmade items in each box. At the moment I am working on a Mama Box for beautiful new Mama's, and a Bubs Box. This new venture will let me stay at home with my little one, give me a sense of purpose (other than being a Mum of course) and most of all be able to spoil a range of special people in the community! Feel free to shoot me a message if you have a specific event in mind you would like a box for - open to new ideas :) x

19.01.2022 +++ t.h.e. // f.a.c.e. // b.e.h.i.n.d. // o.a.k.&.l.a.c.e +++ This photo was taken July 30 this year. We had just bought our very first home in Gracemere and i was roughly 6 months pregnant with our little girl. This moment will always be so special to us because we had worked so hard for so long to get to this point in our lives - we had left our friends and family in Victoria to move up to Queensland to start a new life and it was a terrifying but exciting leap for us bot...h. I had decided late last year that i wanted to make another change in my life - my career. I HATED working for "the man" and had always wanted to work on my own terms and wake up in the morning excited for the day ahead of me. It look a long time to figure out what made me truly happy - planning! I can't stand not knowing what is going on around me, or any sort of indecision. Drives me nuts! I feel so level-headed and in control when i know there is a plan and the steps i need to take to make that plan happen. Event Planning intrigued me because as well as being able to assist people to plan their event, i'd also be able to listen to their stories and get an understanding of where they had been and where they were going. I absolutely love learning about people's backgrounds and where they see their future leading to. I launched Oak & Lace in January this year whilst working casually in disability. My goal was to have my business off the ground once our little girl came along so i could stay at home with her for at least the first year of her life. We're due to have Aurora on December 8 so at the moment i'm a sweating, out of breath, whinging mess and this probably won't change for quite some time ha. I'm trying to focus on my growing family, so the business will probably take a back foot in the next few months but i am really excited to get back into the swing of things around March 2021 :)

13.01.2022 Hi lovelies! :) I've been creating gift boxes for different occasions - baby showers, birthdays, proposals, pampering, etc. Here are a few i've made up recently - New Mama Box, Bubs box, Engagement Box, Midwife Thankyou Box and Proposal Boxes. 11.01.2022 2020 is going to be a hard year for us to top. We have acheived so much more this year than we could have ever dreamed of. + Bought our first home + David quit ...his full time job and started Handy Dave + I started Oak & Lace Events + We created beautiful connections with some really special people + Our family bond grew alot stronger And of course, we created our own beautiful tiny being Aurora! Next year i don't have resolutions. I'm going to love as hard as I can, look after my little family as best i can, and laugh as much as i can.

03.01.2022 Such an incredible day at CQ Wedding Expo! We met so many excited brides and some lovely wedding businesses. The massive interest in my Wedding Planner Bible blew me away.
