25.01.2022 Can't think of a better way to spend time with friends!!

25.01.2022 How awesome is this! In 1997 Coach Sandy taught Tom golf as a 12-year-old. Then, on Sunday he played with Tom's 5-year-old son Jack and his own son Charlie. How good that golf can be a generational family game!

23.01.2022 Name a better combo than golf and clear blue skies!

23.01.2022 Have you ever considered bringing some or the whole family down for a hit? Golf is a fantastic idea to participate in with your loved ones on your next day off! Here are three reasons why. Golf is for all ages... We have clubs for a 5-year-old to a 55-year-old! All you need with golf is a bit of hand-eye coordination. The physical undemanding nature of golf makes it accessible for all fitness levels to partake in. Play & Teach At The Same Time The beauty of golf is there aren’t too many rules or players so you can enjoy playing the game as well as teach someone at the same time without dragging the activity out for too long. Room For Conversation The game of golf includes many occasions for conversation so everyone can keep engaged and socialise, this helps keep it fun even if you’re not the best player on the course!

22.01.2022 Golf Tip of The Month Here is one of our favourite practice drills which will help you develop a great feel for a swing that is on the plane. It’s called the 'wall drill' and it gives you instant feedback when you’re swinging the right way and when you’re off the plane. If you regularly practice this drill at home daily for 15 20 minutes you’ll change your swing within 4 weeks to a point where you hit less wayward shots and start finding more fairways off the tee and ...greens in regulation. 1 Take your address position with a mid-iron (e.g 7iron) with your back to the wall (heels should be approximately half a foot from a wall) 2 Make a backswing allowing your right elbow to fold and your wrists to hinge so your clubhead misses the wall (place a putter cover over the clubhead to protect both your club and the wall) 3 To transition into the downswing allow your arms to drop and your clubhead to touch the wall, then drag down the wall until the clubhead gets to hip height (there’s a shift into the left side for right-hand golfers during this move) 4 From this position, the arms will swing through the impact zone whilst the left hip turns towards the wall 5 To complete the swing the wrists will hinge up again (with a topspin feel) so the clubhead misses the wall as it did on the backswing

04.01.2022 Check out Oakleigh Golf Course instructor, Linda Chen, being recognised for her amazing work with challenging Chinese-Australians to get into golf Many Chinese people are unaware of how to get into golf, she said. This has built a bridge for the Asian community to become engaged in golf. We are a collectivist community, and it’s important that you have a coach at the club that reflects the main demographics of the local area and is someone the community can relate t...o. Chen now coaches players of all ages, which Sandy Jamieson, a well-known professional and coach, says is significant. This exposes the true beauty of golf and that it can be played by anyone, together, he said. Most of her teaching is done on course, rather than a driving range. This empowers people to feel like they can actually use the golf course, she said. We promote the message that golf is an easy and fun game, and its cheap. We are breaking down the perception that it is difficult and non-accessible. We are so proud of Linda’s work!

03.01.2022 Due to recent announcements made by the State Government, our golf course will remain open but following the Government's guidelines. We will update you when we have more information.

02.01.2022 Nothing but smiles when you score a Par. 1Club you will have you smiling sooner than you thought
