24.01.2022 Our students often graduate from Oakleigh Grammar having a strong sense of belonging to the School Community, its Greek Heritage and Orthodox Christian Values that remains with them long after their teens. This is particularly the case for our Alumni, Eleni. Click to read her Alumni Profile where shares her relationships and interactions she had at School and how it has had a lasting effect on her experiences into adulthood, and now into motherhood.

24.01.2022 Who doesnt love an excursion especially when its to the Melbourne Zoo! How cute are these photos taken in 2004 of our Year 1s learning all about the need to conserve animals and fight extinction. Whilst the zoo itself has not changed much over the years; we know our students definitely have. Some of you might even have your own children who have also gone on excursions here.

24.01.2022 We know majority of our Alumni would be on LinkedIn, and we believe it is an important platform to showcase your professional development, provide a forum for open discussion, and to network or even reconnect with old peers. If you havent already, we would love for you to follow our Oakleigh Grammar LinkedIn.

22.01.2022 1999 - The year computer programmer Thomas Anderson AKA Neo enters The Matrix coincidentally also the year Oakleigh Grammar installed their computer labs. Fast forward 20 years to 2019, to another installation. What a difference in technology 20 years can make! What do you think our students will be using in 2039?

22.01.2022 Today marks a very special date on the Oakleigh Grammar calendar as we celebrate the 80th Commemoration anniversary of the 28th October, 1940. To pay tribute to the day the our students proudly sing the Greek National Anthem in the video below:

22.01.2022 We would like to extend our best wishes to Theo in his forthcoming council election. As you can tell, Theo sure has been busy since graduating from Oakleigh Grammar in 2006. Read Theo's story in the post below:

21.01.2022 As you can probably tell, we love comparing photos of our School and its students across the years. Some things remain the same, but some need new developments to continue to inspire and motivate our students. One of these things being the library. Flick through these photos of our library evolving from 1992, to 2000, to the opening of our new library in 2017. What did the library look like when you were at Oakleigh Grammar?

20.01.2022 1992 to 2020 - Our inner yard has had plenty of use over the years, so we though it was time for an upgrade. Fresh paint, AstroTurf, new decking and visual wall installations really do go a long way. Our wonderful PA, some of who are also part of Alumni, completed this amazing refresh for us with the help of PROUD Outdoors Landscaping Construction.

19.01.2022 Sport can have a great impact on many students during their schooling life, and this was particularly true for our Alumni Ann-Marie. Click the post to read about her experiences in various sporting teams, how a number of sport-related influenced her decision to pursue a career in physiotherapy and how being a student at Oakleigh Grammar has helped shape her into the person she is today.

16.01.2022 Ah Year 9... Some of you may have not known it then but it was the beginning of your career journey. These photos are from the Year 9 Careers workshop in 2003, and for most of you it was probably the first time you thought about your future career. Do you remember what you wanted to do for a job back in Year 9? Did it change over the years or remain the same?

16.01.2022 This week we spoke to Eleni (Class of 2011) who's participation in sports events across her schooling life at Oakleigh grammar greatly influenced her passion and interest for sport and exercise, in turn leading to a career in the health and wellbeing industry. Click the post to read about her journey from being a sports trainer at the Melbourne Football Club to changing roles to work with ordinary people managing their chronic conditions, and why she decided to complete a second masters to transition into teaching.

15.01.2022 As technology continues to evolve, it also changes the way we communicate. We love to see how our subjects adapt over the years, and we can see this is definitely the case with our Visual Communication subject. The advancement of technology and materials provides us with more ways to invoke emotions with words, audio, images and digital touch. You can clearly see this in the differences between the photos from this unit in 2000 compared to 2016.

15.01.2022 1994 - 'Forrest Gump' hit the big screen, as well as a much lesser know Quentin Tarantino with his hit 'Pulp Fiction'. PlayStation took out Sega in popular gaming console and although there was no AmazonPrime, Amazon itself made it's grand entrance on the internet. Ohhh, and word like "hakuna matata" were made famous in the original Lion King. 94' produced many things, but it also showed us that Oakleigh Grammar's House Swimming Carnival was just as spirited and competitive then as it is now!

13.01.2022 We absolutely loved this season of MasterChef and as it finally comes to an end; a thought was cooking up in our mindsdo we have any chefs within our alumni? We found this photo from our hospitality class in 2005 and wanted to know if anyone took their hospitality skills learnt at Oakleigh Grammar to the next level?

13.01.2022 1989 - What a wonderful year! The World Wide Web and GPS were being invented, the Game Boy was released, NASA launched the Galileo spacecraft, New Kids On The Block were dominating the airways, while Micheal Jordan was dominating the basketball court. 1989 was also a great year for Oakleigh Grammar too, or should we say St Anargiri as it was at the time. We had talent on the volley ball court and our now Senior School building was being renovated. What was your favourite part of 1989?

13.01.2022 This week we spoke to Gina, an Alumni who experienced her whole schooling life, from ELC to VCE, at Oakleigh Grammar. There's no doubt her time at Oakleigh Grammar shaped the person she is today and influenced her decision to transition from law to teaching. Click the post to read about her journey at Oakleigh Grammar, what it was like to come back to the School to complete her placement, and some advice for those who also may be thinking about making a change in their degree.

12.01.2022 This week we spoke to our 2004 graduate Anna, a paediatric sleep scientist, university teacher and a mum, who kindly offered to share her experiences beyond Oakleigh Grammar. Click the post to read about her journey from finishing school, completing a PhD to having a family.

11.01.2022 Y2K - The year of the new millennium, and the year in which the world prepared for madness. An apocalypse? Computers melting down? There were many fears associated with the turn of the millennium. It was year that represented the future and unknown, particularly for our students entering Year 12 in 2000. With their whole adult life ahead of them, the possibilities of where theyd end up were endless. 20 years later, we would like to know where are they now?

09.01.2022 Growing up, most of us are told that going to university is essential. However, this is not necessarily true for everyone, as each individual thrives from different pathways and many can become successful without the need for further study. This is highlighted by Oakleigh Grammar Alumni, Christopher. Click the post to read about his adventure of leaving a marketing degree to join the army, assisting with the bushfires and taking on an unexpected career change into banking.

08.01.2022 Check out this photo we found of our 1997 volleyball team, The Cosmians! Being active in sporting teams and other co-curricular clubs at school plays an important role in your personal and professional development, and sometimes even helps you decide what you want to do as a career. What clubs did you take part in whilst at Oakleigh Grammar?

06.01.2022 We have had a collection of very talented students throughout the years at Oakleigh Grammar. Here we have a selection of pieces from our Art, design and media show in 2017. Have any of our alumni have kept up their artistic abilities beyond school, did you pursue a creative career or perhaps enjoy making art in your spare time? We'd love for you to share your work with us!

06.01.2022 We discovered these gems that were taken for our 1998 Prospectus. Whilst our School grounds havent changed too much over the years, we can see that camera quality definitely has!

03.01.2022 Check out these photos from the Year 12 excursion to the city in 1992.. yep 28 years ago. Can you believe that? Whilst much has changed over the years, the Oakleigh Grammar School uniform and Federation Square remain the same! Did you graduate in 1992? We'd love for you to comment below how much in your life has changed since then?
