20.01.2022 Love fitness and the results will follow!! With fitness you might as well do something you love! There is no point aiming to run a marathon if you actually hate the idea of running. Make sure you find something you're passionate about, and do it. It can be participating in your favourite hobby, a team sport or in competitive training, you may as well have some fun with your fitness! Drop the all or nothing approach! Its better to do something than nothing! If you only have 2...0 minutes to exercise instead of 30 minutes, it doesnt mean you wont benefit. Work with the time you have, plan your exercises and make it part of your routine. Remember anything is better than nothing! Change up your routine and keep it challenging! Get involved in different exercises and vary your fitness program as much as you can so that youre getting an all over body workout. Variety makes exercise more enjoyable too. If you get bored with the same workout this is a way to make fitness fun! Rest is important! Resting the muscles and allowing your body adequate recovery helps fight post exercise stress. Your body will become stronger with adequate rest and your body will thank you for it! Love exercise but be realistic and know your limits! If you havent exercised for years you cannot expect to jump in and compete in an ironman. It is important to set yourself goals and targets and then increase your distance, time and/or weight gradually. A gradual increase in your workouts will see you maintain your routine and avoid potential injury. Most importantly.. Love your fitness!! You can achieve ANY goal you set yourself!!

06.01.2022 Welcome to OAKLEY Fit for ALL As a qualified nutritionist and personal trainer, my love for nutrition, health and fitness plays an important part of my life. My love for life and fitness is what inspires me to live my dreams. I love the adventure of life to set myself goals that takes me out of my comfort zone. Taking on challenges beyond what I thought was possible. Anyone can achieve anything they desire with confidence, courage and commitment. Going beyond all excuses y...ou must create the plan, take the action, and most importantly love the journey!! This year. One of my goals is to ride the 200km Ride to Conquer Cancer in October. When registering for this event in January it scared me to say the least I only just purchased my first ever road bike and have never done any serious cycling. This is a challenge I have set myself. Learning the mechanics of the clip in pedals and the gears was a daunting experience. Yes I have had the falls too! The training and the ride itself is very scary and so will be the fundraising. I am passionate about the reason for the ride.. Cancer is something that has touched all of our lives in some measure. It's my goal to help put a stop to that. The Ride is how I am doing my part watch this space!! Another goal. Is to complete the City to Surf Half Marathon. Unfortunately last year two weeks prior to the same event I had to pull out due to a knee injury. This was a difficult decision after all the training and hard work. Every failure, obstacle or hardship is an opportunity in disguise. This is what has made me stronger and more determined to complete my first ever half marathon in August!! Now just imagine yourself achieving your goal!! I hope to inspire you with this page, that it will help you to achieve your goals and dreams and most importantly to live a life you love!! 04.01.2022 Quit the diet and change your lifestyle!! The key to achieving and maintaining a healthy weight isn't about the short term dietary changes that come with fad diets it is about the overall lifestyle change! A healthy lifestyle means good nutrition and regular exercise. To start, start small. like all new habits, its best to set realistic expectations. Start by selecting one meal or snack each day and commit to that change, for example add a salad (full of different colour v...egetables) to your meal. As your small changes become a habit, you can then continue to add more healthy choices to your meals. By setting yourself up for success and approaching changes gradually and with commitment you will have a healthier lifestyle sooner than you think :)

02.01.2022 It's Easter so treat yourself but don't forget those goals! Here are some tips how to survive the Easter Holidays. Eat well and stick to the meals you have planned! Make sure that you don't let yourself get too hungry. Have small frequent healthy meals and snacks. Plan to have healthy alternatives on hand and stick to the meals you have planned.... Have a little of what you like! Instead of eating everything in the house, focus on something you really want to indulge in and allow yourself a small treat. Focus on the word 'one' - have just one small easter egg, just one hot cross bun. Allowing yourself to indulge just a little won't leave you feeling deprived, and it won't hurt your weight loss either. Have some fun with fitness! For most of us, Easter usually means a few extra days off work. So with the extra time go explore and enjoy the scenery. Go for a walk, go site seeing, go and do something you love. Spend time with your family and friends and have fun :) Happy Easter!! xx
