22.01.2022 DPI have recently released two separate Tenders for the design and construction of new artificial reefs off Newcastle and Wollongong. The reefs will contain ste...el pinnacle style modules that may rise up to 12 metres (36 feet) from the ocean floor. The eagerly awaited installation of both new reefs is planned to be completed by mid-2019 and will be a fantastic addition to the recreational fishing scene in both regions. To whet your appetite, heres a short video of the assembly and placement of NSWs newest reef in Merimbula Bay completed in September this year. Your fishing licence at work!
