These tours leave from the village every month and include morning tea, lunch, and entry to attractions. They are always a fun and interesting day out and an opportunity to make new friends. If you are interested in joining these trips or would like to arrange a tour of the village, please contact the Village Manager, Peter, on 0427 926 836.

24.01.2022 Another beautiful day. Residents are using the pool often as the days get warmer, with some making it a morning routine to even do some laps!

15.01.2022 Lissa, one of Oak Tree's senior managers introducing residents to the team from EEVI who were in the village to promote the benefits of their medic alert system. The "go wherever you go" pendants provide emergency assistance at the push of a button. They work like a mobile phone with features that enable you to call or send an SOS alert to your close contacts or 000.

09.01.2022 Smiles all round from residents Paul and Susan who have enthusiastically welcomed the chance to help paint the frame for the new vegetable garden Gazebo that is under construction in the village. The project will be completed in time for our Market Day on Saturday the 14th of November.

08.01.2022 Over the past 8 years, a very talented group of residents have been busy knitting baby items and blankets for Mission Possible. Mission Possible volunteers provide a wide range of sewing, and crocheted items for those in need in the community and the ladies at Oak Tree Goodna, led by Dulcie, have used their amazing skills to consistently donate items, free of charge. If visiting on a Thursday morning, you will find the ladies busy at work in the village Community Centre.

06.01.2022 Our residents enjoy a wide range of heath and wellness programs and one of these is hydrotherapy with our visiting Physio Bec, who is updating residents about the weekly classes that will be held in the village pool over the summer months. The buoyancy of water reduces weight bearing stress on the body, enables free movement and increases the range of motion for your joints so there are many health benefits. Residents are looking forward to getting into the pool.

02.01.2022 Our new garden retreat was officially opened on Saturday by Ipswich Councillor Paul Tully, who has been a long time friend of the village. The area has been designed to provide residents with an opportunity to grow vegetables and to relax whilst enjoying the birdsong from the astonishing varieties of birds that call the village home.
