01.01.2022 Well, I love mine, anyway. <3 :) Apparently, it's National Agriculture Day. When I think about the part of our life that is farming, it is by far the hardest thing we do. It throws up more challenges than anything else we do, it costs us more than anything else, it is more stressful, unreliable, unpredictable and crazy. Parenting comes a close second. ;) ... After two fires and drought, you'd think we'd have had enough. You'd wonder why we don't consider giving it all up - it would certainly make our lives easier. But, I guess like many farmers (although I struggle with calling us that, since we spend so much time earning money elsewhere) we're pretty stubborn buggers. The idea of 'giving up' is just not a thing, at least, not right now. So, because we are as committed to this as ever (and still as crazy) we've gone and bought a new (to us) tractor, after the last one gave out on us after the fires last year. So, I guess we'll be here at least until we've paid that off... Happy #AgDayAU everyone... don't forget where your food comes from.
