11.01.2022 Today my newsfeed seems to be dominated by various seemingly different ads, but in each one the claim is suspiciously similar: "We are sorry that our handmade workshop failed to survive this disaster. We decided to sell most of the rest of the clothing at a lower price." Is this a case of marketing cheap rubbishy clothing by linking it to business failings due to the Covid crisis?... Is it using the sympathy card in order to sell stock? So far I have clicked on 7 links for ads like these and discovered shop websites that have only been set up over the past 6 weeks or so.

03.01.2022 It's not the app and it wasn't added to anyone's phone by the government. It is part of the latest system update on all phones. It was designed jointly by Google and Apple to be incorporated into USA based government tracing apps. ... It's not active and not the Australian CovidSafe app. It is just an application framework that can be used IF phone owners in the USA decide to download the app. It doesn't work with the Australian COVIDSafe app anyway as USA and Australia use different technical approaches.
