25.01.2022 Look what Gayle Dines from the Perth Westie Walkers made for me for my second birthday. She also made my bunting for my first birthday last year. I’m soooo spoilt and Mummy is soooo thrilled. George.

24.01.2022 George is enjoying a bone. Yes he needs stripping again. Hairy little man right now but that doesn’t affect his enjoyment one bit when there is a bone on offer.

22.01.2022 This afternoon I detailed my car. It had beach sand in it as usual. That is a constant job because I take George to the beach most days both when we are home and when in Perth. Anyhow I took every single thing out including George’s boogie board of course. I lent it on a post and along came George and pulled it down with his mouth and promptly stood on it and talked to me as if to say come in Mum let’s go boogie boarding. What could I do but burst into laughter. I hadn’t got all the sand out and he wanted to put more in. He is such a character.

22.01.2022 This beautiful natured little female Staffy lived on a large property and was free range. Never been walked in a lead, just wandered about on the property with her mate and came and went inside and out at their will. Yesterday she sat, tugged back and wouldn’t walk forward. Wanted to roll about but certainly not walk on a lead. Today this was her. We also walked her to a cafe for her one hour drop while we are and chatted and walked home again in the weather and walked beauti...fully. I’m only going to specialise in good bath red, or small dogs from now on. No more agressive or large dogs for my hobby training. I was way, way too busy working almost constantly with very few days off a month. It is not supposed to be work but a hobby. I want to spend more time to with my dog, husband, family, relatives, friends and do more campervan glamping. Husband and dog first and for most. I sooo enjoyed training this dear little girl, Hade, though and her lovely and dedicated family. What a difference a couple of hours made. See more

21.01.2022 Yesterday I took George for his immunisation then a bit later to the doggy group in Margaret River where he loves going. With all my previous dogs I’ve timed their immunisation on a day that they can later attend the doggy school. At first George was fine. However George was not his normal joyful self when I did a recall with him. He didn’t bound joyfully like he always does. I thought it most unusual but wasn’t worried. Later he did something very well so I picked him up to ...praise him as I sometimes do and he yelped and snapped. Totally out of character for him who never ever has snapped before not even if another dog snaps at him. I thought I had accidentally dug the clip of his lead into him as I had it in my hands seeing he was doing off lead work. He did not seem to enjoy doing his agility which he normally loves very much. I was getting very concerned by this time. We left and while I was having my lunch he vomited three times and was listless. I phoned the vet and took him straight back. His temp was 39.6 which is very high and the vet was saying he could have convulsed at that. Luckily Westies are known to be strong dogs so maybe this helped. He was given two injections and we went home however he was becoming even sicker, vomiting a lot so I went back again to his vet. By the time I got back there, George had vomited 13 times. He was given three more injections, intravenously this time, plus electrolytes which I’m to administer hourly day and night at 25mls a time. No food until tonight when he will have the special after surgery type of meal the vet provided him with. He is certainly not out of the woods yet, still very lethargic and not toileting yet either. Apparently he had a bad reaction to his immunisation of which hasn’t happened previously but certainly did this time. In future he can’t have immunisation until after a blood test to do a titer count. It was very scary to see him so sick and totally out of his normal happy character. At least he seems to be on the mend slowly now and the vet has contacted me three times since doing a check on him. See more

21.01.2022 Georgie Porgie has definitely turned the corner this afternoon. Not him old self but getting there for sure. I can’t thank everyone enough for your concern and support. It’s times like this when you find friends you didn’t realise were there for you. Thank you, each and every single one of you. You have helped David and myself more than words can covey. Thank you again.

20.01.2022 George says, Can you see me in the Gazebo with my dad at Bremer Bay?

19.01.2022 Merry Christmas Mumsie. Don’t let George near the Christmas Brandy bottle. Xxx

18.01.2022 George loves cuddles with his daddy.

16.01.2022 George having a slide and a swing.

15.01.2022 This message, below, was received today, the day after training a 16 week old Westie to walk on lead. Just yesterday she lay down, rolled over, squealed as if she was being attacked, pulled backwards and bucked about as if she was a horse. Today, she is enjoying her walk with her devoted Mum who swims a lot so I’ve been giving her some handy hints to gently assist Jorgie to go swimming. Not all dog’s enjoy swimming, just like some children but hopefully Jorgie might. Jorgie i...s a little sweetheart that just needed to learn to listen to her Mum, Respect her and Trust her that it was ok to walk with her on a lead. Now she can after such a very short time. Hi Bev Jorgie and I had an extremely brisk 30 min walk with no more than 3 gruff good girls it was amazing she knew immediately what to do. Went to river later - no swim yet but she is getting curious I will let her take her time Fiona

13.01.2022 Mum and Dad took cousin Red and me to the beach this morning and when we got home again we both had a little bit of ice cream. Now we have a lamb shank each. Mine will last theee it four days but Red will eat all his today. His Mum and Dad are coming home today.

08.01.2022 Hello, it’s George Glenn Watterson here in Mum’s phone again. I saw Mum wash my new jacket Mrs Dines made for me for my second birthday with tractors on it. Mum is heating the iron up to iron it now so I hope she is going to put it on me. It is a special jacket ‘cos Mrs Dines made is ‘specially for me and stitched lots of love in it just for me. My Daddy ‘joys doing up very old tractors so now I’m really his tractor mate. There are red ones on my jacket like Daddy has. Ha ha ha ha. I’m Daddy’s tractor mate. Daddy said I’ll have to go to the tractor shows with him but Mum said she will have to put a big sign on me saying Not for sale. She said I’m not allowed near anyone dirty or greasy tractors there either. Oh really Mum, that’s so many rules, I don’t know that I will remember all the rules.

05.01.2022 George and I are camping at Fonty’s Pool Manjimup while David is on day one of his two day Tractor Treck. David will join us this evening to sleep in George’s Georgiebago then go on his second day of the Treck tomorrow before we all head him again.

04.01.2022 George is having some lovely exercise at East Fremantle.

04.01.2022 Wow, he is not two and a half yet but George came third today in agility with a perfect clear round. He doesn’t get to agility very often so this is a fantastic effort for my little Georgie Porgie. He was beaten in time factor because he was up against working dogs that run sooo fast and have longer legs hence bigger and faster strides but he was the only one with a perfect clear round. How good is that. He never ceases to amaze me with what he does and all with a happy face be it swimming, boogie boarding, agility or obedience, especially recalls. Such a shame no one was videoing. But here is his photo at the end of the day. His hair is ratty because he’d been swimming prior to agility.

02.01.2022 My Daddy loves me. We had a lovely sunny walk at Busselton Beach today near Stilts then Dad and Mum had a coffee with the other Westie Mums and Dad while us Westies had a rest. I slept while Dad and Mum had lunch and on the way home to Augusta. Then Mum took me to Margaret River so I could do some agility in the afternoon. What a big day I had. It was lovely. Im sleeping on Mum and Dad’s bed now.

01.01.2022 George Glenn Watterson turns TWO tomorrow so I’ve decided to take him to Busselton to spend some time with other dogs and to do a little bit of agility. Then as we drive home to Augusta again we will call on a friend from Westie Walkers Perth who is house sitting in Margaret River with her Westie that George knows and the Golden Retriever that lives there. I think that should make him a happy little dog on his second birthday. Then of course he will have big cuddles with his Daddy and myself when we arrive home. He will get his favourites for breakfast, lunch and dinner finished off with Shark Cartledge.
