22.01.2022 A great case study on the impact of adding Oasis 88 to Macadamia orchards in South Africa. We are looking to sponsor a trial in Australia so give us a ring if you are interested. https://oasis-agri.com/case_studies/macadamias-barberton/

22.01.2022 It's great to see that sequestering CO2 in the soil is listed first. Oasis-Agri set out to help farmers improve their yields by applying Oasis 88 along with a custom treatment plan, but along the way two key additional outcomes were evident. Firstly, we observed a dramatic increase in the creation of organic nitrogen, and when we got around to measuring it, a staggering increase in the amount of CO2 sequestered as well.... As this phenomenon was observed on a farm outside Australia the significance wasn't immediately evident, but in Australia, this can generate an additional revenue stream for the farmer. This comes on top of all the other benefits that Oasis 88 delivers so with apologies to Dire Straits, 'It's money for nothing, and your chooks for free'!

21.01.2022 Our experience with Oasis 88 would suggest that a broad range of crops (and the livestock that feed on them) will see significant yield improvement from improved nutrient absorption.

21.01.2022 A fascinating phenomena that illustrates the power of nature and reminds us that erosion is a challenge in so many facets of our life. In our personal life if we are no longer learning our value proposition is effectively eroding. In agriculture this has led to the emergence of 'no-till' farming which minimizes erosion. Thanks to technical advances all soil management additives (including Oasis 88) can be applied at the same time as seeding. https://tinyurl.com/y4fwkpyf

20.01.2022 Some may argue that the humble tractor isn't a stellar example of automation but the transformation it drove is impressive. The next step for agriculture is the sky in the form of drone and satellite feeding AI systems to maximize production.

19.01.2022 It was a sad day when supermarkets first realised they could put their own brand on staples like milk and force farmers to lower their prices and accept other crippling terms and conditions. It's didn't seem like a smart business strategy or marketing tactic at the time and has probably made conscientious shoppers more selective in where they shop even if it isn't as convenient. Through government intervention to stem monopolistic practices, and the adoption of technology and environmentally responsible soil management practices, the smaller farm can and should survive and even thrive. Bigger isn't always better . . .

18.01.2022 Farm subsidies are in the spotlight in many places in the world right now and in reading this story it's not hard to see why. Imagine being paid just to own land, irrespective of how well or poorly it's run? Hopefully, the new grants are broad enough to support multiple approaches to regenerating the land from the introduction of robotics to the use of next generation organic soil treatments.

17.01.2022 Please take the time to watch this documentary on Netflix! We are all aware of the threat to the environment that plastic and other forms of pollution pose to the planet, but are you aware that our topsoil will be depleted in 70 years if we don't do anything about it? I watched as we have a deep interest in soil health at Oasis-Agri, but after watching this film you will realise that we are all invested . . .

17.01.2022 Another case study that illustrates the positive outcome of adding Oasis 88 - the unique soil catalyst that Oasis-Agri distributes - on a sugar cane farm.

17.01.2022 You may have noticed that Oasis-Agri is not a fan of the 'meat factories' or of 'industrial farm practices' and here is interesting article that underlines a few of the reasons why. It features a cow that thrives on grass instead of grain, as the 'meat factories' have apparently used selective breeding to breed cows that are dependent on grain. Taking an animal that evolved to eat grass and attempting to change its metabolic process is bad for the animal's health, bad for our... health, and simply wrong on so many levels. There is a better way, Give us a call to find out more.

16.01.2022 No surprise what reason #1 is. . . (restoring soil health) It's also easy to make pledges, as individuals or countries, and then not live up to them. In politics, talk is cheap and wins hearts and votes, but only actions matter. Oasis 88 supports regenerative agriculture and helps reduce the amount of fertiliser, herbicide, pesticide, and fungicide traditional farm practices require.... In the process, it also helps sequestrate carbon and generate organic nitrogen for next year's crop, so visit our website or better yet, give us a call to find out more. https://theconversation.com/four-reasons-why-restoring-natu

15.01.2022 Combining solar and agriculture is not only possible, but can provide benefits to both 'crops'. In this example the sheep are managing the vegetation and growing fat at the same time, especially as they can shelter from the sun and munch at the same time! A separate study by the university of Arizona also described how horticulture and solar can co-exist and the benefits to the plants when they are planted in a lower light/stress environment. https://buff.ly/37Zk9PO

11.01.2022 How did it come to this? How did the meat industry get to be dominated in the USA by just four major players, and to a lesser degree, in other countries as well? There are very few positive outcomes from the pandemic, but the re-emergence of the smaller-scale farmer and a move away from horrendous 'cattle factories' may be one. The trick of course is maximising the output of these small, typically grass-fed cattle farms, and this is an area where Oasis-Agri and our unique soil catalyst Oasis 88 can make a difference.

11.01.2022 Vertical farming is the future and here is a great example of a company with the vision to establish themselves early on. We are also looking to get involved with local enterprises so get in touch if you are interested.

06.01.2022 Everyone is acutely aware of the decline in the bee population worldwide, and it's easy to pick on GMOs, pesticides, and similar causes but there is a root cause. (please pardon the pun) As the author points out, farms have become larger and more simplified, and with the encouragement of government, adopted an industrial approach with devastating consequences. It doesn't have to be that way. Just as a diversified stock portfolio lowers risk, a diversified approach such a...s planting multi-species fodder crops on pasture will also lower risk. Add in Oasis 88 to maximise germination and growth and you'll have fat, happy cattle and do your part to help support the native bee population.

02.01.2022 Some good news, 20 years in the making! We take so much for granted and wait till we have a crisis on our hands before taking measures to address the issue. As Associate Professor Hayes ends off, "We do need to really think hard about our balance of how much water we take out versus how much water is going in." Oasis 88 has been proven to improve 'how much water goes in' which in addition to replenishing the water table will also help reduces salinity and alkalinity.
