23.01.2022 PATRICK - BRISBANE Due to a change in personal circumstances with his adopter, we're needing to find Patrick a foster home. Patrick is very gentle, obedient... & well mannered. He loves his meaty bones and roo tails. Patrick rides well in the car and is generally a good boy. Patrick likes being with his humans, and gets very excited when his current foster carer gets home from work (and at dinner time). Patrick's good with cats, but he would like to be the only dog at his new home. Patrick is a 5 year old male American Bulldog who has a couple of medical conditions that need ongoing management - skin & arthritis. Previous experience with the breed would be ideal. Feel free to enquire as to the extent of Patrick's care needs. Patrick is presently located on the Gold Coast and his previous vet care was in Brisbane so we're open to a home in either location. 19.01.2022 We are looking for a new home for BRONX as his previous adopters have had a change in circumstances. Bronx would suit an active family; with lots of time to spe...nd playing and snuggling. Bronx is a 6 year old Australian Bulldog who recently turned 6 and is living in Newcastle (NSW). He loves walks and being with his humans. Bronx is active and loves to chew his toys and sticks. He is very much an inside bulldog and will let you know when he needs to go out for the toilet. Bronx gets along well with children but is more suited to a family with children 6+ years. Bronx currently shares the home with a cat and we have found that they get on well together. Do you know someone perfect for Chito? ...A little bit about him .... Chito loves people (especially the ones he knows already) and when he sees them he gets very excited. Chito is an American Bulldog who will be celebrating his 6th birthday in a couple of months - we hope that by then he will be in his forever home. Chito likes walks but not hard core ones. And he does enjoy saying hello to 2 and 4 legged strangers when out for walks. Chito doesn't pull on the leash which is a dream. Chito is friendly with kids, he does't know his size though when he does get excited so better not little ones in case they get knocked over. Chito would benefit to have another dog living with him, a confident female dog, probably better less active and not pushy. Chito would also be fine as the only dog at his new home if a human is around home most of the time. Chito doesn’t care much for toys, his love is food. Whitney is great with kids and would suit a famil...y where her humans are around most of the time. She is a little clumsy and forgets her size at times, best that kids are aged 6+ years. Whitney is good with other animals and presently shares her home with a cat. Whitney is used to spending time inside and has been trained not to go on carpeted areas. But she also likes access to a backyard to have a little space to run around and find a nice sunny spot to sit in the winter sun. Whitney is already microchipped, desexed & up to date with vaccinations. 11.01.2022 Please welcome SIR FRED to the care of Mini's Bulldog Rescue Sir Fred is a 1.5 year old Bullmastiff who was saved from a Melbourne animal shelter earlier tod...ay. Poor young fella had been there nearly 3 months and needed out urgently. Well spotted! Fred isn't a bulldog - but he is a fellow squishy-face - and we couldn't let Fred's life be lost, so an exception was made as MBRC were fortunate to be in contact with a foster carer who knows the breed well. Thank you Gary & Claire for collecting Sir Fred and getting him safely to his foster home. Thank you Rohan for fostering Fred. You're a life-saver. Welcome Sir Fred! 01.01.2022 MILO is doing soooooo well. We have shed a few tears of happiness this morning. Milo's off fluids, eating like a champ, standing up again and taking a few steps.... He even had to wear a cone overnight so he wouldn't try to remove his IV himself, and was barking for attention this morning. Milo is ready to leave ARH tomorrow he has a temporary foster home until we organise the right forever foster placement. Milo is looking for his very own humans to be his forever foster home. He deserves to be loved, feel soft grass under his paws, and getting up to normal puppy mischief. MBRC will supply the vet care, you will supply the love & cuddles. Milo does have specific needs that can be discussed further with those enquiring: * Daily medications - which Milo is presenting happily eating in his bowl with his meal * Ensure Milo only has his special KD food * Daily physio to build strength in his legs * Assisted sling walking out to toilet every few hours * Daily monitoring to check he is hydrated and for any signs that he needs additional vet care. Milo may need subcutaneous fluid injections - we will get to know this over the coming weeks (essentially additional fluid injected at home under his skin, similar to a diabetic person injecting insulin) * Someone around most of the time * A home with level access to wander inside / outside as he pleases. * A nice sunny spot to sunbake in the winter * Aircon to keep Milo cool for when it warms up * Milo would be happy with a doggy friend (a zoo of animals might be a bit much for him) * A spot where Milo can be crated overnight that is a comfortable temperature * Experience with vet nursing, nursing or other animal care would be ideal. Milo is presently located in Canberra. We are open to other locations as far as Sydney or Newcastle, for the right forever foster home. You must be located near a vet we are comfortable can provide his ongoing vet care.
