25.01.2022 Two birds - one stone... Combining skin care with self care Regularly taking time out for yourself to relax and recharge your batteries is one of the best things you can do to improve your mental heath. Fortunately, this time of year gives many of us the opportunity to do just that.... One of my favourite self care activities is when I can combine my mental health care with a regular skin detox and exfoliation session... Once a week, I create my own day spa/retreat at home by applying one of my mud masks and then sitting back to a enjoy guided meditation whilst it dries. Watching my mask come to life whilst I mix it, and enjoying the cool feeling that the mask provides as I apply it to my skin is the best part of my pampering session. Once dry, and meditation complete, I jump in the shower and gently massage the mask into my skin as it's rinsed away. This process helps to further exfoliate any dead skin cells which are washed away along with the toxins drawn out by the mask. The result?
