Special thanks to all the incredible people who raised your hand to help this years. Thank you!. Please note we also receive donations of single items for the Christmas boxes. If you are crafty and like sewing or making kids clothing or just want to donate toys, stationary or hygiene products we’ll take them every bit of help counts. 18.01.2022 What other statements or actions help you when you feel discouraged? Remember: the feeling of discouragement is an emotional warning signal that needs to be ad...dressed. It is a symptom of a deeper issue screaming to be seen and healed. When feeling discouraged do the following to begin uncovering the deeper problem: 1. Question the emotions- why do you feel discouraged? What is making you discouraged? What thoughts are facts and what are assumptions? What boundaries are being crossed or need to be placed and enforced? Is this a common issue in your life? Why? 2. Write down your thoughts and feelings. This will help bring clarity and perspective. Writing also helps create order out of chaotic thinking. 3. Recheck what you wrote and go deeper with your analysis. What patterns do you notice? What triggers? How can you reframe the situation? What can you learn? What would you advise someone else if they came to you with this issue? 4. Now put a plan in action. Use these statements to help you when the emotions of discouragement feel overwhelming but then create a roadmap of how you are going to deal with them. And talk to someone like a therapist or friend about this! Talking out loud is one of the best ways to gain perspective AND often find a solution, plus it’s always nice to have someone to help share the load. 07.01.2022 thesocialdilemma.com I don't normally watch movies like this but it was incredibly eye opening. It is not a conspiracy theory movie, but well presented facts on... social media and how it is being used to target us as individuals and effectively brainwash us. One interesting point was for every article of truth on Facebook there are SIX fake articles, and the more of them you click on, the more they show up and effectively make you believe that what you're reading is real. It's no wonder the antivax / flat earth / Chem trail conspiracy theories have gained so much traction. People click "information" on Facebook that they saw from a "well informed friend" and all of a sudden they're being presented with more articles relating to that thing, working as a confirmation bias and slowly convincing them that they are actually reading the facts and that theyve been lied to by 99% of the professionals of that field, truly believing that the 1% who say otherwise must be telling the truth... Anyway give it a watch. It will really make you reconsider how and why you use social media and if it is even necessary.
