24.01.2022 This is from the 19th Century. Cast Iron construction. 130cm circumference & 23cm height. Reasonably heavy, estimate 5 to 7kg. It came from a large Farming Property in the Oatlands district that had one family ownership for well over 150 years. The Book Auctioneer, the Proprietor of the Oatlands Mart, would be interested in your thoughts on "Appraisal Object- Day 1".

04.01.2022 Having an Easter Monday Ale with The Book Auctioneer, he asked me about this which he sourced. It's done in the early 1900's by an Artist - J. Hawkins. It's titled "Barges at Wharf Hobart" on the back then with a price of 1pound 1shilling. It's Salamanca Wharf as you can see done around 1900/1910. It's only a small Oil Painting but it's well executed and captures an era in Hobart's rich maritime history. $550 it won't last long and can be bought prior to next Sunday 28 April when the Heritage Hub at Oatlands is open at 79 High Street by email to [email protected] OR by text or phoning 0403 308 931. BE QUICK !!
