24.01.2022 We've been saving this one for a rainy day! In science, KF have been learning about weather and the seasonal changes in the environment. We have discussed how clouds are formed and the four seasons that occur. Inspired by our current investigations around weather, we have created some beautiful rainbow umbrella artworks! 22.01.2022 Autumn Art 12G have been admiring the beautiful colours of the Autumn trees in and around our school. We have discussed our favourite trees and why we admire them. 08.01.2022 Awesome Athletes Today, students had a fantastic day at our annual Athletics Carnival. All students should be commended on the high level of sportsmanship and house spirit that was on display. Thank you to all the parents who came along and supported and assisted, your help is very much appreciated. A special thank you to Mr Sellers who goes above and beyond every year to ensure the day runs smoothly. The winning house and champions will be announced on Monday.... 08.01.2022 Winners are grinners! Our Library has been very busy this week with lots of children making the most of our annual Book Fair. We ran a colouring competition in conjunction with the book fair and our six talented winners each won a $10 voucher to spend at our book fair. Our winners were Archie Graham, Lilly Himsley, Kim Long Yee, Maisy Christie-Johnston, Noah Abbas and Dayna Armstrong. Well Done! Belynda Ruhan l Librarian

05.01.2022 Saturday Sport This morning Henry Humphries joined former Bathurst mayor Graham Hanger on 2MCE community radio. Henry was in the studio to discuss all things sport at Oberon Public School. He outlined all the events from the athletics carnival as well as highlighting some of the exciting activities students participated in on camp. 04.01.2022 Waste Warriors During the past few weeks 3/4M worked hard on their entry for the annual local Waste2art competition. They were inspired by the lovely colours in the autumn trees as it represents the changes of life throughout the seasons. We used copper to represent the falling leaves. 03.01.2022 Gymnastics Students have had the opportunity to participate in a gymnastic program that is being coordinated by coaches from PCYC Bathurst. Throughout term 2, students will undertake sessions that focus on fine and gross motor movement skills involving balance and hand eye coordination activities. Kindergarten to Year 2 have completed their sessions and Years 3 to 6 started today. They will run every Friday until the end of term. Jo'elle Frampton l Principal
