This is just some of the units ready for delivery this week and just in time for Christmas presents . Their are few more to follow yet but we just seem to be always so busy to post up all the amazing work that the team here at Obieco produce so thought we best get a few in before we close for the year. To say this year has been busy is an understatement as we have not stopp...ed supplying all sorts of incredible units all across this vast land of ours . Our Opportunity Here at Obieco Industries we are in urgent need of staff for our Fit Up Department. You will be based at our Tamworth premises and will be working on both large truck bodies and/or one tonne bodies. Our Fit Up Department is the last section of the ‘vehicle build process’ prior to delivery to the customer. This department is critical to our business and ensuring our customer’s build requirements have been met. In this role, you will be working on our high profile clients such as Origin Energy, Toll, RMS, Telstra, Local Government vehicles and many more. Our vehicles are delivered Australia wide. This critical role is responsible for:- Liaising with Supervisors and Tradesman on specifics of the vehicle build Reading job specifications and drawings to ensure correct completed finished product Installation of optional parts and accessories ie toolboxes, mudflaps, fire extinguishers, stickers etc Ensuring critical time constraints are achieved with timely completion of preparing the vehicle for delivery To be successful in this role, you will: Be mechanically minded with experience in using a multitude of hand tools and equipment Have your own tools in a lockable toolbox Be reliable Have the ability to multi task and work to strict deadlines Have a high attention to detail Have the ability to problem solve Ensure that you work as a team Have good communication skills Be physically fit and flexible Successfully pass a full medical including drug screening prior to commencement. These roles are to commence ASAP. Your hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 0700 1600 and Friday 0700 1315, and are to commence ASAP. In this role, you will be employed on a casual basis. 13.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that our Employee of the Quarter was recently awarded to James Sherwood. James is employed as an Engineering Fabrication 3rd Year Apprentice and is working in our Big Bodies (Truck bodies) section. James has shown maturity and has been proactive with his learning and work tasks completed. This was particularly evident recently, when his colleague was absent from work for an extended period of time. James stepped up to the challenge and demonstrated ‘role model’ characteristics of a future tradesman, so keep up the great work James!

08.01.2022 We are happy to introduce Jack Byron, one of our 1st Year Engineering Metal Fabrication Apprentices. We recently asked Jack about his apprenticeship and working here at Obieco Industries. Here is what Jack had to say: Why did you choose an apprenticeship?... Because I was very interested in kickstarting my metal working career in the best way possible. Why did you choose Obieco as your choice of employment? I completed a weeks’ worth of work experience. At the end of my time, I was keen to see if I could work here. What do you think of the apprenticeship here at Obieco? So far its been great, awesome support. What do you like about working at Obieco? Being able to do what I love and learn while doing so. Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work? Everyone in the Small Bodies Department have taken me through a great learning process. I’m very happy to be working with such skilled people. Aaron Hutt, the leading supervisor has taught me greatly. What advice would you give to someone looking to undertake an apprenticeship? Take your time to choose a good credible place to start off, take everything in. Keep up the great work Jack!!

Something, that is quite simply "AMAZING" in everyway possible!! In fact, Your wildest dreams couldn't have imagined it to turn out this damn PERFECT .... After working in my body building career for 34 yrs, I'm humbled to see so many of my own personal ideas on many other bodies out there today (in some shape or form)! Obieco set so many benchmarks in so many areas, and still continue to do so to this day! So once more, I give you an OBIECO MASTERPIECE ! To the entire team involved with this build, you are indeed in the MASTERCLASS of your trade!! I'm so "Honoured and Proud" to have such "Incredibly Talented Tradespeople and Apprentices" working with me! So many of their new ideas have gone into this build on my dream truck a "DT RAM 1500 Rebel PUNISHER Edition" . Not quite finished yet, but I just had to share this now - I just couldn't wait any longer . Just few of the features are. Dual custom designed 76mm headboards with so many serious features built in Laser cut hunting theme as window frame Hemi 5.7lt and Ram logo with the PUNISHER head that is backlit when headlights on ( I know right so cool ) 70lt stainless steel headboard mounted watertank with 12v pump. Laser cut products signboard as loading board sheet Dual lithium battery system undertray with all electrical equipment for removable alloy canopy yet to be built. Custom exhaust stack shroud to enhance those tail fat pipes Led worklights top of headboard sequential indicators and blacked out tail lights Special Obieco alloy plank floor to save weight Alloy custom toolboxes that are functional but have the desired tapered look also Alloy sideboards to again save weight with laser cut signs. 04.01.2022 WOW ...... every now and then you build a unit for a client that turns out just way better than you or they could have ever imagined it could. This unit is it and has all the creative flair Obieco is famous for and for a client that just couldn't get enough of what we could do for them if they allowed it to happen and make a truck be truly special and built for purpose. The Scania 620HP XT with the mighty Effer 395-3C boom and painted in matching colours with stainless... steel trim everywhere for the eye to see. So many special nic nacks and purpose built storage and hidy holes for all the gear. Just on point this weapon of mass lifting destruction, and Bob and Chris from Bio Septic as well as myself couldn't be happier with the entire teams effort on this amazing looking rig.
