24.01.2022 OLD BAR NEWS - May 12, 20201 by Ian Dimmock It's On This Week! It's all systems go for our Health and Lifestyle Expo at Club Old Bar this Friday, May 14. Once again we will have a table and two chairs available for each exhibitor and should you require any additional items or service please advise urgently.... Due to the problems of being heard over the general background noise, there will not be any specialist/guest speakers this year other than at the opening. However, those who want to promote their speciality, a separate room will be provided where you can do your presentation without undue background noise. A 20 minute time slot will be available for your presentation. The Expo will commence at 10am and is scheduled to finish at 1pm. You will be able to start to set up your display at your table from 8:30am. For any further information please contact John Macartney on 0427 787-296. Craft@Old Bar At its next workshop next Wednesday, May 19, Craft@Old Bar will be creating a decorative crochet hand-towel ring. It is not compulsory to participate in workshops, feel free to bring along your current project. Venue is Soldiers' Memorial Hall, Hall Street, Old Bar from 11am to 3pm. Business & Community Association Meeting Tonight The first general meeting for 2021of the Old Bar Manning Point Business & Community Association (OBMP) is on tonight at the Old Bar Tavern commencing at 6:30pm. The general meeting agenda is to plan the future of OBMP and carry on with current projects for Old Bar and identify future projects. Each project is designed to raise the profile of Old Bar to benefit both the commercial and residential population. Currently OBMP has over 60 members and more residents and businesses are encouraged to join and assist OBMP achieving its goals. All are invited to this meeting. Membership fees have been suspended until June 30. Members of OBMP automatically become members of Business NSW which provide quality business information and assistance at either minimal cost or no charge. Members with an ABN automatically receive, by email, regular business updates from Business NSW. 21.01.2022 NSW recorded no new cases of locally acquired #COVID19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night. Eleven cases were reported in overseas travellers in hotel quarantine. This brings the total number of cases in NSW to 4,349 since the start of the pandemic.
