04.01.2022 Simple steps to change a light bulb safely 1. Turn off the power - the safest way to do so is at the fuse box, but often people flick the light switch into the off position 2. Let the light bulb cool 3. Set up a sturdy platform - a chair with wheels or a friend giving you a boost isn't advised 4. Take the bulb out - this is slightly different depending on whether it's bayonet or screw ... 5. Replace the bulb* - you should feel when it's in place 6. Restore the power and the light should illuminate 7. Dispose of the old bulb safely - wrapping it in packaging is recommended * You can choose to replace the bulb with a more energy efficient option - we will be writing an article about this in the upcoming weeks
