24.01.2022 We are proud to announce that O'Brien Icehouse are teaming up with Melbourne Ice and 300 Blankets in support of their ICEOLATION Care Package Program. Food insecurity is a real challenge in our community with over 700,000 people just in Victoria living below the poverty line. This problem has been amplified by COVID-19 and has left many families in real need of help and support. In the absence of a normal 2020, we all challenged ourselves to find a way to help our immediate community. 11.01.2022 As a result of the Victorian State Governments announcement of a seven-day lockdown, the O’Brien Icehouse will be closed from Friday 28th May to Thursday 3rd June. Tickets holders, Icehouse members, Hockey Academy and Skate School students will be contacted via email shortly. The Icehouse will be reopening on Friday 4th June (provided government restrictions allow). If the Victorian State Government eases restrictions earlier, we will update our reopening date. 08.01.2022 We are very sad to hear that on Saturday 17 Oct, 2020, at 11.53pm Beverly Wilkinson was taken from us. Beverly loved her figure skating and was a vibrant member of our Icehouse community. She worked hard with her coaches, Dorothy Bisset, Mark Hochmann, and Michael Kho and achieved her goal of passing the Preliminary patterns test and the Elementary Ice Dance test. Beverly also competed in many competitions in Australia and all over the world, even placing in national and int...ernational adult figure skating competitions. A beautiful mother and friend to many...with her zest for life, her positivity, her passions for gardening, figure skating, line dancing, travels, all the wonderful people in her life, Tubby the cat, and many more, she just loved and lived life to the fullest and jam packed everything in. As the incurable cancer diagnosis was a shock 4 months ago, Beverly took it in her stride and fought the battle so hard right to the end. With her love for glitz, glamour and sequins, it was only fitting that she chose her next outfit in blue (see image) for her next journey where she can skate everyday and watch over us... she will be a super star! As you continue to skate everyday on your next journey in your blue outfit, you will continue to ‘Shine bright like a diamond'. RIP Beverly The O'Brien Icehouse Team
