18.01.2022 Thank you to those public figures who have recently been brave and shared their stories with us all. In sharing their losses and opening up we hope this means we can all share our stories of grief and loss without hesitation or worry. We want to make sure that no one walks this path alone. ... We thank them for making the conversations possible. @pinkelephantssupport @pandanational @cope.org.au @sandsaustralia @rednoseaustralia See more

16.01.2022 Today is World Kindness Day After a tumultuous year that kicked off with the devastating Australian bushfires and continued with the coronavirus pandemic, people are looking for ways to lift their spirits. Today is a day which should do just that!!... While kindness should be carried out every day, World Kindness Day is being promoted in Australia as a mission to set a new world record of 20,000 kind acts logged in one single day. The Kindness Factory founder Kath Koschel says: Kindness doesn’t need to be a grand gesture; the smallest act can have the greatest impact on someone’s life. As a group OGCG has donated to #walktober in support of the @gidgetfoundation to acknowledge world kindness day and logged our act of kindness on the kindness factory website @kindnessfactory #onesmallact #20kin2020 #melbourneobstetrician #femaleobgyn #francesperryhouse #worldkindnessday2020 #drnataliakhomko #drleahxu #drjeanwong #drperridyson #drrobinthurman #drvinnikaur #drstephenlee

13.01.2022 We have some good news (finally) With today's further easing of restrictions we are so happy to let you know that partners/support people will be able to attend 'select' appointments at the OGCG rooms From Monday Nov 9th your Obstetrician will talk to you at your next appointment (in rooms or telehealth) and plan those visits with you.... We need to maintain social distancing and have a waiting room capacity of 9 people at a time so please make sure you are still attending alone until you have discussed which visits someone can attend with you. There may be times where your partner/support person will still need to wait outside or leave the waiting area to allow for patients to sit in the waiting room. We know you're as excited as we are! Please be patient whilst we safely work our way through this new change. #melbourneobstetrician #pregnancyappointment #femaleobstetrician #welcomeback #covidupdate

12.01.2022 Hello! Kathryn from @vivaphysio here This Monday I’m running a workshop called The Final Weeks, Preparing your Body for Labour and Beyond via Zoom. I’d love to invite you, or any of your family and friends who might find it of interest. It’s so important to understand what’s ahead of your body physically in labour, and getting the pacing right in your body in the coming weeks, which are often called the Forth Trimester can set you up for long term success.... Did you know that more than half of women will experience a pelvic organ prolapse or urinary incontinence after birth? (Hagan et all 2004). And that the forth trimester is crucial in preventing that? In my experience, I find the first six weeks after birth is the time where very little specific information is given to women, but women are often wondering what is safe and not. In this workshop, I’ll cover tips fo the birth itself and then really specific information about how to get the most out of your first 6 weeks - getting the balance right, preventing neck and shoulder issues which are so common from feeding the baby and a few other gems there. The session costs just $40 and can be booked through this link https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/ASP/main_enroll.asp I’m really excited to help you on your journey into motherhood and I can’t wait to see you there! Best Wishes, Kathryn. #forthtrimester #birthskills #labouranddelivery #birthtips #pregnancyphysio #preparingforbirth #preparingforlabour #bodyafterbirth

09.01.2022 To the beautiful OGCG gang, We are loving getting to know our little girl and Ned and Tilly have been great with her and shown her lots of love. Thank you so much for the past 5 years/3 babies and to Jean for your unwavering care and support throughout my pregnancies and deliveries. Especially this last one, I feel like it really is the end of an era and am absolutely devastated (shattered) I won’t be able to see you in-house or introduce Molly at my 6 week post appt (th...anks covid ). I took a few pictures of Molly, and the moment Ned and Tilly met their baby sister (all 3 OGCG babies!). She’s pretty chilled at the moment...long may that continue!!!
