Deaf Australia Inc awarded us the 2020 Fair-Go Award, for organisations who have worked to advance the rights of deaf and hard of hearing people relating to accessibility.... The crew at Open Captions Australia - OCA are delighted to have been recognised for their tireless work behind the scenes in ensuring cinemas around Australia are accessible for the deaf and hard of hearing since 2013. I would like to make a special mention to each of our representatives, Damo, Emma, John, Riona, Ash, Luke, Adrian, Joanne and Sarah for their efforts in leasing with many cinemas state-wide to provide accessiblity of open captions and working closely with the community in raising awareness of open captions in cinemas being available.
