25.01.2022 Life as a Celebrant certainly gets you thinking. You have the wonderful privilage of legalizing a relationship in marriage, renewing vows for those that want to reaffirm their commitment to each other, along with the Honour of assisting familes to say goodbye to their loved ones and this saying comes to mind: Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory. Each journey equally as important, in the circle of life
22.01.2022 Spring has arrived and my Wedding and Ceremony season is about to kick off big time. Being a Collie girl, I am thrilled that November sees me conducting the weddings of Nikki and Darren, my gorgeous great niece Tasha and Alex,Emma and Chad, and a naming ceremony for 2 special little children,Miamii and Levi all in Collie, as well as a renewal of Vows for Kerry and Jai at Meelup Beach and a wedding at Dalyellup for Rebecca and Calum...and thats just November. So glad I had a... wonderful holiday in preparation. Each occcasion is so different and so special, and I am so pleased to be witness to the next journey of each couple's lives, some of whom have been together for many years and now wanting to take that next step of commitment. It's all about doing what is right for you - when the time is right ...for you. Waiting for your wedding day is like a kid waiting for your birthday; you want time to speed up so the big day gets here really fast, but when it does you want time to stop.......and the day to never end.
22.01.2022 The past few weeks have showcased how each wedding is very much an indivual occasion. From the small but very beautiful wedding of Davina and Hugh and their 3 gorgeous girls, now those girls know how to party. To the stunning Erin and Luke with their visitors from the UK enjoying our beautiful Margaret River area. Next onto a farm with Brenden and Kate, who looked absolutely gorgeous arriving in her fathers MG,escaping from the cyclone in Karratha and then to cap it off was beautiful Emma, Mark and Miss Savannah and their friends. Each wedding was so different but so appropriate and suiting the needs of the Bridal couple. I am often asked "what is the correct procedure for a wedding" My response is "Your day - Your way"
20.01.2022 Beautiful couple Jennifer and Robert at Meelup Beach
20.01.2022 Thanks ladies for all your wonderful comments about your special day. It was my pleasure and i enjoyed helping your day go smoothly. Each one so different and lots of fun. Two weeks break and then another same sex marriage and naming ceremony and then XMAS.
19.01.2022 Saturday had me at honeymoon pool with Cindy lee and Gary Smith and their 3 gorgeous rugrats, family and friends, finally joined together in marriage. Beautiful location, perfect weather and stunning bride. Even the groom scrubbed up ok. Perfect day.
18.01.2022 Just finished my first meeting with Emma Bessell and chad. Gorgeous couple. Feel like I have known them for ages. This connection with collie is awesome. Cant wait to read their stories and put together a wedding ceremony for their special day. The next few months will go so fast. Stay calm Emm. Xxx sue
16.01.2022 Wow what a month April was, officiated the wedding of beautiful Kori and Gus in busselton, went to my first baby shower for Kristie and Steve, picked up our gorgeous visitors from UK and then officiated my very first same sex marriage of beautiful Emma and Jade in mandurah, not a dry eye in the park, then off to Pemberton for another wedding of David and Gunnell, and to end the month, the gorgeous family wedding of Tony and Kate and their two boys, before me flying to darwin for a rest....with 3 grandchildren not likely. Looking forward to the next event, wedding at honeymoon pool, collie next week. Will try to post some pics of some of the moments.
15.01.2022 The ABC has compiled the first public, national database showing COVID-19 cases.
10.01.2022 Life is still busy during the winter m onths, preparing for my first indoor wedding at the art gallery for Skye and Trent next month and then spring means weddings for Stephanie and Rory, Natika and Stewart, Natasha Burgess and Alex, Emma Besselland Chad, Rebecca and Calum, Jodi and Cheryl and the renewal of Vows for Kerry and Jai. Each wedding is so different and very exciting to be a part of. Love hearing all their stories and making the next step in each of their lives possible. The Collie connections are becoming more obvious with each couple. I might need a short holiday overseas in between all of that before we start with next year.
10.01.2022 Have had the honour of conducting weddings for some beautiful people so far this year including , Paul and Takky, Julian and Amy, and Leigh and Lisa who were married on the same beach as their proposal. The brides looked gorgeous and the groom's didnt scrub up too bad either. I now have to remember to not leave my phone in the car so i can take some photo's of the event. Preparing to have a little holiday before the March - April flurry of beautiful brides and gorgeous little people involved in the ceremony. Brides, feel free to post your pics on this page.
10.01.2022 I had the wonderful honour of conducting a service of celebration of life for Collie's Bette Leslie on monday. I have known Bette for 50 yrs and it was a tribute to her professionalism to see so many other nurses that she worked with, come to say farewell. Next is 2 weddings before the end of the Year. So excited to be a part of these beautiful occasions, each bride so different, but the message of LOVE is the common theme for each ceremony. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
09.01.2022 What do you think of this idea? Composting burials transform your body into soil so it can be returned to relatives for scattering, used to make a memorial garden, or donated to public greening projects.
09.01.2022 To all my beautiful newly married couples, I wish you the best christmas ever, as you share it with the love of your life for the first time as Mr & Mrs or Mrs & Mrs. All the very best for the year to come and I look forward to hearing about any new additions along the way. Stay safe and enjoy your new life together. Sue xxxxx
08.01.2022 Had the pleasure of introducing Mr and Mrs Middleton on Saturday...you both looked absolutely gorgeous. It was such a fun occasion at the beautiful venue of Evelyn Park, Capel River with KISS weddings providing all the beautiful extras.
04.01.2022 What a fantastic day sunday was and to cap it off was the wedding of Kathryn Erehi and Neil Russell. My first couple using the new law. Absolutely beautiful couple with Layton and lyla stealing the show. Hopefully will have some photos to share very soon. Perfect location for a KISS setting.
02.01.2022 The story of my life - spent the worst day of winter in perth yesterday, meeting the beautiful Erin in Joondalup, to start the planning of her wedding for next year, drove through the horrendeous deluge of rain to the other side of Perth to meet with people involved in the planning of weddings, Celebrants, photographers, florists etc. Time for home. Back out to the car in the dark and pouring rain and my trusty boots came apart. Life's lesson - slow down or time for new boots.
