25.01.2022 There is a lot of experience and refinement that goes into making Pilates exercises fluid, smooth, and controlled, without strain or over recruiting muscles. Even though these particular exercises don't require maximum strength, the finesse is in the ability to use the right amount of effort. Strength and flexibility work in harmony to come up with the right "measure", giving the exercise the look of ease. Stephanie and Kira show us this skill in the video's below.

22.01.2022 Kira demonstrates great control and precision through the 2 exercises, "Around the World" and "Control Front". Many years of practice can be seen here, making the exercises look easy. Her shoulder girdle remains very stable throughout the transitions, as well as her spine and pelvis, yet without excess tension. Nice to see!

19.01.2022 I know it's been a very long time since my last FB post. Better late than never! A Christmas get together at Umina. What a crazy year for all of us. Let's hope for a better new year for everyone. I'll be closing the studio on the 21st of December and reopening Monday February 1st, 2021. I thank you all for coming to my studio regularly and applying all the new material from this year's work and retraining I did with Josephine Keys. I will prepare a video link with some simple exercises to help employ our new understanding of the core, the real core!! Have a wonderful holiday season. 16.01.2022 Apologies to all of you for having to close the Pilates Studio for the short term. I will stay in touch with all of you. As soon as it's deemed safe we will resume! Until then Pilates at home is advisable. I am planning to make a couple of YouTube clips for you to carry on with. Pilates Anytime website has some good online classes, but for the beginners, a word of advice, be careful.
