Will joins our club from North Bendigo where he was a member of their 2019 premiership team, and was vice captain of the club in 2020. A versatile midfielder/forward, we are excited to see Will in the red & white next season! #grubbers

23.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE FROM AFL BARWON This morning AFL Barwon received information that Kardinia International College has been temporarily closed on Tuesday 28th July due to a possible COVID-19 case within the school. As a precautionary measure, any student or staff member of Kardinia International College are advised not to attend any junior training sessions or Tuesday night netball competitions until further information has been provided by DHHS.... If any Tuesday night netball teams are impacted and may need to forfeit please contact Sarah Allen from AFL Barwon ASAP. Please remember that is anyone is feeling unwell or showing symptoms, they should stay away from the club and get themselves tested.

22.01.2022 We are pleased to welcome Lachlan Bone to the club for the 2021 season. Locky actually joined us earlier this year just before the season was shut down. He hails from Camperdown where he made his senior debut in 2015, and will play an important role in our midfield and forward line in 2021. Great to have you on board with Grubbers Locky! #grubbers

21.01.2022 URGENT COVID-19 UPDATE We have received information tonight from AFL Barwon that Bellarine Secondary College will be closed tomorrow (Friday July 31) as a precautionary measure due to a false positive COVID-19 case within the school. As a precautionary measure, any student or staff member of Bellarine Secondary College is advised not to attend any junior training sessions or competitions until further information has been provided by DHHS.... This will potentially impact on games fixtured for this weekend, so we will endeavour to keep all players, parents and members updated over the next 24-48 hours. Please remember that if anyone is feeling unwell or showing symptoms please stay away from sporting facilities and get tested.

17.01.2022 As a result of todays announcements by the State Government, it is looking likely that this weekends games will be the final games that our young Grubbers play this season. This weekend a combined total of 38 junior teams represented Ocean Grove FNC and Ocean Grove Cobras JFC . Both clubs are extremely proud of the extraordinary efforts of our coaches, team managers, trainers, umpires, COVID-19 officers, committees, parents and family members who all helped to enable our ki...ds to do what they love on the football fields and netball courts. Its been a tough and challenging year so to all, the Executive and Committee offer a massive THANK YOU. Stay safe, continue to do the right thing, support each other and we look forward to a 2021 which will hopefully be easier to navigate than the stormy seas we have encountered this year! Go Grubbers. Matt played 146 AFL games for Geelong and the Western Bulldogs, and has most recently been involved with Ormond Amateur Football Club, helping them to a flag in 2018. As a precautionary measure, all players and families that attend this school are advised not to attend any junior training sessions until futher information has been provided by the Dept of Health & Human Services. AFL Barwon do not have any information to advise that these cases have any relation to junior port, with this advice purely precautionery for clubs & members.... Please remember, that if anyone is feeling unwell or showing symptoms, get yourself tested. Anyone who is waiting COVID-19 test results or has a family member waiting for results, are asked not to attend any training sessions or matches. We will provide further updates once we receive information from AFL Barwon.

15.01.2022 We are pleased to welcome Tom Waters to our club for the 2021 season. Tom made his senior debut with Hamilton Kangaroos in 2013 and has since spent time with St Mary's (GFL) and most recently with University HIgh-Vic Uni in the VAFA winning a premiership in 2018 and leading the club goal kicking in 2019. We look forward to seeing Tom in action in our forward line in 2021! #grubbers

The Club would like to send a massive THANK YOU to our coaches, volunteers, parents and COVID officers who have all worked so hard over the last months to provide our kids with a safe & hygienic environment which enabled their return to play. Riley joins us from Banyule in the Northern Football League where he has spent the past 2 seasons in a midfield role. 04.01.2022 AFL Barwon have advised that Bellarine Secondary College has received the all clear from DHHS. Therefore any student or staff member from Bellarine Secondary can resume netball & football training and competitions effective immediately. Good news!

03.01.2022 JUNIOR FOOTBALL COACHES 2021 The Ocean Grove Football Netball Club invites expressions of interest from individuals interested in coaching Junior Boys and Girls football in 2021. The successful applicants will join a club that is looking to continually improve its junior football program, and will be an active participant in our Coaching and Development program designed to develop our coaches and Juniors to provide a 'one club' philosophy to how our club plays.... We anticipate to field 2 teams in each of the Under 15's Boys, Under 17's Boys and Under 15’s Girls divisions and our first U18 Girls which will make an exciting season for all. Expressions of interest should briefly outline previous coaching experience and qualifications and should be sent to: Matt Gibbon Email: [email protected] There are many various roles needed during the season so we welcome all those that are keen to assist. Expressions of interest will be received until Monday November 30th.
