09.01.2022 LADIES SKIPPERS RACE Calling all Skippers, One Saturday a year (in March), is one of our special sailing events of the year when skippers get to hand the tiller over to one of our female sailors for the Lady Skippers race. This has been a hotly contested race between some of our ladies for a few years and it seems to be the case this year also. ... So dont forget to put it on your calendar, find a skipper and have some fun.

There are many different ways to get started in sailing and a range of opportunities for you to continue sailing at our club as you develop your skills, experience and confidence. You don’t need to own a boat to enjoy sailing. Here at Ocean Reef we can provide boats, as boat owners are always looking for crew. You don’t need any prior sail...ing experience and you don’t need to commit to crewing on an ongoing basis so it’s a great way to get out on the water and find out more about the sport. Most sailing clubs are run by volunteers. Volunteer roles can include administration, instructing, fund raising, social events co-ordinator, club committees, race management and community engagement, (even web site management) to name a few. So if you think you could lend a hand, we would be most welcoming.

02.01.2022 The sailing section have many social events, such as the Labour Day weekend Cruise to Fremantle, The North Coast Series with Hillarys Yacht Club, The Ladies Skippers Race, The race to Alkimos, amongst a few. Social dinners, Sunday drinks, Friday Night Dine Ins are all very popular evenings to bring your partners and have a bit of fun. Come down and join in.
