14.01.2022 Last night we held our first Ocean Grove Acoustic Session for 2020...which happens to have also been a pretty special occasion. It was the ** 4TH ANNIVERSARY ** for our Acoustic Sessions, and did we ever have some fun!! That's right, OG Acoustic Sessions has been running for 4 years now. That's 4 years of getting people together once a month for an hour and a half of non-stop singing and playing music together...the best way to while away an hour and a half if there ever was ...one :) It's 4 years of getting people better connected with each other. 4 years of "doing" community right here in the Grove 4 years of sharing our passion for and love of music with people from across the Bellarine. Music knows no boundaries, it doesn't discriminate, it's soooooo good for the soul (as well as the brain). You don't need to take my word for it though....science has proven it! We started up OG Acoustic Sessions 4 years ago because we had so many adults asking "when are you going to do something that we can come to?". The majority of our work was with kids/youth, so we put the word out on FB just to see if there was enough interest. Clearly the answer was a resounding "YES" and 4 years later, it's still going strong. We have lots of regulars who are now almost like extended family, we have seen new music groups form from people within the larger group of OGAS attendees, we've had some who can only manage to get along once in a while but know they are welcome to come and go as they please. Thanks to EACH AND EVERY PERSON who has joined us at one of our Acoustic Sessions since we started. It's been a great 4 years, and we look forward to lots more good times together in the future. 09.01.2022 Pretty chuffed to be a part of the Katherine Outback Blues Festival (Online) on 16 May alongside some other fabulous artists including the very talented Ethan F...arm and The Ethan Farmer Band, Anna Scionti, Michael Spiby and as well as my own kiddos Keith and Harley (aka Heath Robertson and Carly Robertson) amongst other fabulous artists. As for me, I get to perform an acoustic set with my man David Robertson on percussion, and again with my family band, The Von Robertsons, who also get to be a part of this fantastic event.
