25.01.2022 First timers Nixon & Tex went fishing with Dad Adam this morning while holidaying here in Narooma. Nixon (Trevally ) being very optimistic while buying bait this morning said he was hoping to nail a Marlin in the Estuary! Not quite what he was hoping for but I think the smile says it all. Not to be out done his brother Tex caught this snapper and a couple of Tailor. Well done boys luv ya work

25.01.2022 On the 2nd day of Christmas, my true love purchased for me.........A new Shimano Aerplus fishing rod.....because they are HALF PRICE. *Mention this advertisement in store to redeem this deal. Offer available until Dec 24th or until stocks last.

25.01.2022 Great Afternoon on Wagonga Inlet Today a dozen or more Flathead best 69cm ( and dropped another beside the boat the same size ) a few legal snapper Salmon, bream ( on softies and surface lures) lots of tailor assorted sizes. Wagonga is looking a very healthy system going through Autumn and into winter! If you need to isolate yourself for a while then Wagonga Inlet will be a great place to do it. Cheers Dash!

25.01.2022 If you wish to continue to enjoy a day out fishing you really need to show your support because the groups that would like to see an end to fishing certainly will be. Make no mistake there is plenty of pressure to end fishing and half an hour out of your day will help make the difference.

24.01.2022 IT'S ALL IN THE TIMING!!!! The mighty guru comes good post Flathead comp! Proving he has the goods to catch comp wining fish. Managing this 69cm 2nd cast of the day and backed up with a bigger model ( approximately 80cm ) very next cast but due to a very relaxed net boy we were unable to get a photo!

23.01.2022 Got to say it’s surprising how fast the good water is pushing down the south coast

23.01.2022 On the 10th day of Christmas, my true love purchased for me........an Angler Tech floating lip grip. *Mention this advertisement in store to redeem this deal. Offer available until Dec 24th or until stocks last.

23.01.2022 LIKE FATHER LIKE SON!!! young Riley Boulton future king of "CHARTER FISH NAROOMA" showing Dad Benn he can match it with the big boy's scoring himself a nice Jew while Dad could only Manage a ninety odd centimetre Flathead. It's only a matter of time before the apprentice becomes the master. Luv ya work Riley I think the smile says it all.

22.01.2022 Wonderful Wagonga Inlet has shown us the holy grail ( ironically on Easter Saturday) again for the second time in our fishing history giving us both a Jewfish on the same day! Although this time it wasn't a double hook up at the same time, but it was the same spot only 3.5hrs apart. And again caught on zman lures got to love the new purple death in 3" paddle tail. Plenty of Flathead in the mid 40's with the 2 best going 54cm and 62cm ( all returned to fight another day ) plenty of legal sized Tailor and Salmon schools in there as well. If today was anything to go buy Wagonga Inlet is as good as it gets at the moment! Cheers Dash!

21.01.2022 Great read about Charter Fish Narooma’s bluefin from a few weeks back. Congratulations Ben and crew.

21.01.2022 Wonderful Wagonga has done it again! Target species for the next 3 months is Jewfish / Mulloway for us and day 1 although no legal size Jewfish didn't disappoint. 7 in total which is by far the most we have ever caught in 1 day but unfortunately not one surpassed the 37cm mark! Plenty of Tailor, Salmon, Flathead, Snapper filled the gaps in between the school of junior Jewfish and a couple of Bream and Flounder as well. Just goes to show once again never let the weather forecast ruin a possible awesome day's fishing! Hopefully tomorrow we can find the parent school!

20.01.2022 SURFACE SUCCESS!!! Today we decided it was time to get back to what we love to do the most, Surface fishing for Estuary Perch! I can't think of many things that are more exciting then the heart pounding explosive strike of an Estuary Perch / Bass on a surface lure followed by the blistering run back to it's snag / home as you bend and weave your rod and pray that you can stop and turn the fish around and retrieve it towards your waiting net before the fish absolutely smokes ...you and leaves you with the feeling of despair and another lost lure. The bonus of this kind of fishing is that you'll always at some point come across by- catch in the way of Flathead, Bream, whiting, salmon, Tailor etc! Today was an even extra special start to our season as Hippie managed his new PB Flathead on a surface lure with a very respectful 81cm in 1/2 of metre of water. It was awesome to watch not only the several blistering runs in shallow water but the initial strike like someone dropping a mini minor from the bridge into the water. It was a great start as we managed a dozen perch with half of them between 40 - 44cm. The by - catch today was 6 Bream, 1 Salmon & 1 cracking Flathead. Not a bad start to the season and hopefully this is a sign that we are going to be in for a bumber year of surface fishing. The most rewarding part of the day was that all fish were released in great condition to fight another day. Cheers Dash! See more

20.01.2022 Sue & Rob who have just moved to Narooma in recent months are starting to find wagonga inlet is not just a pretty waterway to waste a day relaxing on! It can also produce some awesome sized fish! Sue has only just started fishing since moving here and caught her PB Flathead thus far today. Not a bad start at 60cm Sue as the smile says it all. But I'm sure time on the water over the coming months as the big girls start to wake it won't be long before Sue is upgrading her PB! Luv ya work guy's and thank you for all your support you have given us here at the shop since moving here. Cheers!

19.01.2022 Interesting temp charts at the moment

18.01.2022 Been some great fishing at narooma the past couple weeks ranging from dolphin fish marlin and kingies! Kingfish remain very consistent this week with strong cu...rrents at the Moment, unfortunately this has slowed the marlin bite but things will pick up again very soon! Some of the bigger kingfish have been just shy of the Meter mark and we had an exceptional day on dolphin fish last week with a bunch of fish over the 120cm range and plenty around a meter! See more

18.01.2022 From all us here we would like to wish you all a happy and safe easter

18.01.2022 Some interesting times ahead with some awesome looking products coming through from Gulp

18.01.2022 Plenty of quality fish coming aboard at the moment. Thanks Ben from Charter Fish Narooma for sharing the images, awesome fishing lads.

17.01.2022 Just letting all our valued customers know that we will be opened from 7 am to 6 pm over this Easter long weekend. Thank you all for your continued support.

17.01.2022 These two boats and 18 foot Jayco caravans have been stolen from our warehouse in Tingalpa can you share this around and keep an eye out

17.01.2022 With spring here and all you guys and girls getting your fishing gear out and dusted down it is also a good time to check your safety gear. Make sure flares and epirbs are in date and a big one is your life jackets. Transport NSW is helping make this little chore a lot easier with a series of online clinics to help keep everyone compliant.

17.01.2022 A successful long weekend for Dave Law-Rence in Wagonga inlet, and in his own words had a great time. The common theme seems to be the shallows up the back of the estuary and early starts. Been great seeing a few keen anglers starting to get around.

16.01.2022 Good evening everyone It’s great to see so much support from the Australian public who has come on board to help and support Darren Flanagan and his family as ...we know there has been a go fund me page set up to assist Darren and his family to come up with the money to save his family home 14 years ago along with 200 other people Darren risked his own life to help bring me home we have all seen current affair tonight with Darren story so I would like to make a donation of a signed guitar signed by Lee Kernaghan the wolf brothers from Tasmania Christie lamb and other country music artists I’m just wondering whether anybody would be interested in helping me get this guitar to auction and raise as much money as we can for Darren and his family this is just a small token of my appreciation for What Darren did for me not only during the 2006 rescue but also the Years after when I worked alongside Darren I have Added a couple of photos I’m sure whoever is interested and purchases the guitar it can be arranged to be posted to the winning bidder So I’m asking everybody who can possibly share this post to help a mate out the auction will run till the end of June and the money raised by the highest bidder will be donated at the go fund me that is setup to help raise money to help Darren and his family keep there family home So let’s start bidding and let’s share the hell out of it and raise as much money as we can to help

16.01.2022 Today "old mate" and i thought we would try something different from harassing bait schools in Wagonga Inlet and go chase some wild winter Bream! Not a bad first up effort managing 23 all released to fight another day, with around half a dozen of them hitting the 40+ mark best at 43. choice of lure didn't seem to matter as both soft plastics and hard bodies seem to work. But is was typically our old favorite classics that you can't buy anymore that worked best! As "Master Hippie" always says when you find a good lure that works well, go straight to the tackle shop and buy at least 10 more as you never know when they'll stop making them.

15.01.2022 On the 8th day of Christmas, my true love purchased for me.........lots and lots of Yakamito Jig Heads......... *Mention this advertisement in store to redeem this deal. Offer available until Dec 24th or until stocks last.

14.01.2022 Staff member Dash thought he might get a feel for Wagonga before the flattie comp this weekend. Yep looks pretty good.

13.01.2022 New BG MQ’s look the goods

13.01.2022 A big thank you to all the suppliers that came on board for the inaugural Compleat Angler store v store challenge at Burrinjuck dam over the weekend. A great event made so much better by the support of the companies listed.

13.01.2022 Finally water has turned and running down hill with a nice rise in temperature. For anyone travelling to the area remember to check your safety gear on your boat, chances of having your boat checked are high and failure to comply can be expensive. Please travel safe.

13.01.2022 Great work guys awesome idea. Join, spend and you can win

13.01.2022 Going to be interesting to see how the charts will change I’ve the next week or so.

12.01.2022 New meaning to take on someone your own size

12.01.2022 With a nice push off water down the coastline and the fad put back yesterday happy days.

12.01.2022 Great to see the south coast open to traffic again, and they tell us the Kings Highway will be up and running tomorrow. We take our hats off to all those who helped out during these trying times (many on a voluntary basis) you are all legends. Fire crews, emergency services, power crews, police, military and those who just stood up to take control it has been an amazing effort by all involved and would like to thank every last one of you. Hero’s all of you.

12.01.2022 What a difference ten days makes in coastal salinity levels

11.01.2022 Everything looks pretty promising out wide with the swell starting to drop already and charts like these, happy days

11.01.2022 With so many homes lost this initiative could definitely make a difference

09.01.2022 The Shimano Last Man Standing draw has just taken place. A big congrats to Corey Johnson from Lismore who was drawn and is now the new owner of a Bar Crusher wo...rth $60k! Thanks to all the final 6 crew for an awesome few days Barra fishing at Copperlode Dam and to all those who entered during the campaign! See more

09.01.2022 Another Amazingly Awesome day on the Estuary Perch on surface lures in absolute atrocious weather conditions today, with torrential rain and wild winds most fisho's opted to stay at home tucked up in their warm beds, but It was definitely worth making the effort to fish in such conditions as the perch were chewing as good as I've ever experienced on surface lures. Hooking up on Estuary perch simultaneously on surface lures on the same snag has always been a goal of ours but to manage it 3 times today will make it one day we'll never forget. Sorry about the photo quality but due to the torrential rain it made it hard to take good photos. Cheers Dash!

09.01.2022 Nice Crock caught and released by Sam Gshwend. Cracking fish mate

08.01.2022 Hi guys and girls Tuna champs are here for a limited time. 08.01.2022 The "golden barrels" are still stalking stickbaits! Last week we had a few luck punters that found the elusive Yellowfin Tuna haunting saurie schools near and around the Tuross canyons but due to a South east low over the weekend every anxious angler was forced to only look out into the big blue in hope that the golden barrels would still be present when the seas would settle. Yesterday was the first chance in almost a week for the search to begin again and it was "Happy da...ys" for the majority of the Tuna brigades that bolted out first light armed with a lethal stickbait outfit! This is an awesome start to the Tuna season and who knows how long it will last! So if your stinging to catch your first Yellowfin Tuna or it's been a while since you have experienced some awesome tuna action then now is the time to act. For those that might need a point in the right direction head on into Ocean Hut and we can give you the latest updated information or steer you in the direction of a chartered service that can help put you amongst your dream fish! Cheers Dash! See more
