20.01.2022 : One last event before the 2019 Oceania Masters Athletics Championships officially conclude. The Mackay Aquatic Recreation Complex has provided a fantastic site for some phenomenal Performances, however, the final event takes us away from the track and deep into the Mackay Community. The Half Marathon will be conducted along the Mackay Blue Water Trail, Catherine Freeman Walk. Starting at 6:30am, with an expected cooler start to the day. 15.01.2022 And as the sun went down on the final day of competition of the 2019 Oceania Masters Athletics Championships, being the half marathon, we would like to thank all competitors and their supporters for inspiring performances over the past week. We would especially like to thank our officials and volunteers - without these people these Championships would not have been possible. Thank you all again and see you in Norfolk. 11.01.2022 OMA2021 & COVID-19 Norfolk Island has taken proactive measures to mitigate the potential impact of the COVID-19 with closure of the Norfolk Island border on 17 ...March 2020 and so far the island remains virus free. Athletics Norfolk Island’s commitment is to protect the health and safety of athletes as well as the local community. Currently the local organising committee feel confident that the OMA2021 event will be able to proceed as planned during the advertised dates 18-22 Jan 2021. The committee will continue to closely monitor the world’s situation in regards to the virus and any regulations imposed for events during the proposed dates.
