11.01.2022 CREATURE FEATURE FRIDAY This week we've got an 8 armed highly inteliigent creature the octopus! These guys are just facinating! Did you know they have 3 hearts? 2 are exclusivly used to move blood beyond the animals gills and the 3rd to to pump it around to the organs. The organ heart actually stops beating when they swim which is why we see octopus crawling across the sea floor a lot! 2 thirds of an octopuses neurons are in its arms. Meaning the arms can work out how to crack open a shellfish while the owner is doing something else!
