21.01.2022 Updated ORCV Sailing Calendar is now available. https://www.orcv.org.au/calendar/orcv-races Entries are now open for the first West Offshore Coastal Sprint 1 on November 21. https://www.orcv.org.au/sailing/races/coastal-sprint-series Notice of Race for all ORCV races will be available on November 10. ORCV is hoping to run a Melbourne to Devonport race at Christmas. If a race to Devonport is not possible, we have two alternative races. Similar for the ORCV Cock of the Bay ...we have an alternative format if needed. Mark your diaries and get ready to join us.

21.01.2022 Historically, the role of the navigator was to know where you were and to keep the boat in navigable water. Today the modern navigator's role needs to comb through a myriad of information available today and making sense of it to be able to put your boat in the best position to take advantage of the up-coming conditions. The ORCV has two new online navigation courses using Expedition software. Course 1 covers the basics. Course 2 builds on the basics. For anyone who has mastered the foundations of Expedition, you are invited to join the Masterclass with Will Oxley. Learn what it takes to win an ocean race. Book and learn more about the courses https://www.orcv.org.au/training/navigation

17.01.2022 Flashback - 1977 Boats, communications and clothing have changed but our desire for sailing hasn't. Re-live the 1977 ORCV Westcoaster and Cock of the Bay races where Helsal, Truogene and Anaconda place well and how the safety and communications were maintained by a supporting relay radio vessel. How times have changed. We are closing in on 50 years since the first Westcoaster race. Mark your campaign diary and be part of this milestone event in 2021.
