24.01.2022 Thanks to our previous clients who completed the recent survey regarding our planned renovations. Weve taken it all on board and planning the kitchen reno mid- August. 20.01.2022 Well after 10 days of blood, sweat, tears and a pending divorce (not really) weve completed the kitchen renovation. :) A few unexpected challenges along the way with unavailable tradies and a sink that didnt fit, etc, etc. However now that it is complete it certainly brightens up the place and brings a modern feel to it. It adds a lot more storage space and it also a few luxuries like a dishwasher and updated electric oven and cooktop. Thanks again for the suggested input from the recent client survey. Weve been booked out since mid December but with the end of the school holidays approaching why not take advantage of the quieter times, great weather (and cheaper rates :)) as we have some good availability throughout Feb and March.In fact mention this post when booking and well knock 5% off all stays greater than 2 nights over both months. 15.01.2022 Yes, no excuses, we have been a little quiet here for sometime but have simply been dealing with lifes wonders and challenges. One of those challenges was deciding how to renovate a distinctly early 80s bathroom here at Ocean Vista. Some of you may recall we updated the kitchen 5 years ago (gee time flys!) well now we would like to annouce we have a beautiful, modern, warm, practical bathroom! (check out the pics). Many thanks to my son Matt for providing the tradie know-h...ow and for the many days we put in together in the last few weeks. Also thanks to my wonderful wife Fi for putting up with the frequent moody phone calls when things werent going quite right . 03.01.2022 Just a quick note to confirm the recent Otway fires are not directly impacting us here at Ocean Vista. The nearest fire is about 20km away near Kennett River and the winds have been from the south west in recent days halting fire progress in our direction. The Great Ocean Road is still closed from Lorne so access from Melbourne is still only via Princes Hwy and Forrest. We will keep you updated if there are any major changes. Cheers for now. Jim & Fi.

01.01.2022 Just a quick update to mention that we were down at the house last weekend - beautiful weather and surf Saturday, the complete opposite Sunday but had a great time (great food) at the Birregurra festival. Check it out next year if you have a chance. Also had to replace the fridge! Its had a good innings - must have been at least 20 years old. So good news for those that will be staying in the future - not only will you have the newly renovated kitchen but a modern and slightly larger fridge/freezer! Cheers for now, Jim & Fi.
