24.01.2022 It is with regret that we inform you that this evening the decision was made to withdraw our girls football side from the WVFFL season. It is a tough decision, one that is not taken lightly, and one that we firmly believe is the right thing to do. To our coach Couchy and his right hand man John Sanderson, thank you. Your hard work and commitment to getting girls footy going has been extraordinary.... To the players, we feel for you. We desperately wanted you to play and did everything we could to get you out there. You are a wonderful bunch of people who will no doubt represent this club well when you get the chance. We still harbour some hope that some practice matches may be able to be played at some stage. We will be in touch with information as soon as we can. Please feel free to contact me directly if you need. Stay safe and look after yourself. Jase Moloney 0405 045 193.

24.01.2022 Our club is proud to announce the return of Joe Kenna, Jacob Lacy and Matthew Petherick to the Warriors for season 2021. As previous premiership players, we know this talented trio will be great to watch next year. Not only intent to play, Joe will help Jimmy McKenzie as Reserves Co-coach, whilst Jacob will Co-Coach the Under 18’s with Sam Brooks.... Gee they look good in those new bottle green jumpers! Welcome back lads.

19.01.2022 Good evening all, Today is a tough day. The new restrictions announced by the State Government will put an end to training and games for the 2020 season. By the time the 6-week lockdown expires it will be mid-September. Whilst we did not see our teams on the park for a competitive match, we did learn a lot about our community.... We learnt that local sport is more than just a game on a Saturday. We provided a safe outlet for our community to exercise, socialise and keep fit and active when doing so elsewhere was tough. We supported our sponsors as well as anyone, and provided them business when they most needed it. I urge you to support them again as we did the first time. We found Friday night Lotto, and welcomed a star in Ashley Porra. How we do this the next 6 weeks is another question. I am proud of the way the club has handled this season. Our committee has worked tirelessly, our coaches committed, our players resilient, our parents supportive and our sponsors amazing. A huge thank you to everyone involved. 2021 will be a great season. Stay safe over the next 6 weeks and do the right thing. Jase Moloney

12.01.2022 Do you want to be involved in where our club is heading in the next 5 years? What do you think we should build next? How do we fund it? Where are our junior players going to come from? We been lucky enough to source a grant from Warrnambool City Council to develop our very first strategic plan for the Davidson Oval and our club. The plan will cover things like facility development, community and stakeholder engagement and participation planning.... We would love to get a mixed group of people involved. Commitment would be a few short zoom meetings over the next couple of months and contributions to an email group. Comment here or give Mo a call on 0405 045 193 if you are interested.

12.01.2022 The Old Collegians FNC is sending condolences to the family of our great servant and life member Gerry Jackson. Gerry passed away peacefully on Thursday. The people of the club made him feel so welcome Gerry never left!! Rest In Peace Jacko - you will be missed.

12.01.2022 With ongoing demand and growth in the business we are currently seeking expressions of interest from people who would like to join the Avalon team at either our... Haddon or Warrnambool site. The roles on offer will include direct customer service so applicants must be able to demonstrate an ability to work closely with people along with having a strong interest in gardening and demonstrated plant knowledge. The roles will be casual and days / hours will be negotiated with the right candidates. If you have a genuine interest in working at our nurseries please send through your resume to [email protected] See more

12.01.2022 Tonight the WDFNL made the decision to cancel the 2020 junior season. It is a tough decision, and one that would not have been taken lightly by the WDFNL executive. Our community is important to us, and we will continue to support it as we work through this unprecedented time. We know you will b...e disappointed.
