15.01.2022 EcoVineyards is a collaborative approach and we are thrilled with the support that we receive from more than 50 project partners to roll out the project across ...SA. We aim to create step change and to find solutions where needed. One of our focuses is to find ways to attract insectivorous and predatory birds both big and small to stay resident in and around vineyards. Many species are territorial and help to actively patrol the perimeter of the vineyard to keep pest (frugivorous) bird species at bay. Brian O'Malley, Nigel Catt and the team at Ocloc/Ocvitti Australia https://www.ocloc.com.au have been busy behind the scenes developing a prototype predator perch for installation at each of our EcoVineyards sites across SA.
