24.01.2022 As part of our learning about the benefits of healthy food, we have been exploring all different types of fruit. Each week we dissect a fruit and investigate its' shape, size, colour, texture and smell. We save the best part for last- eating! The children were so entrigued by the 'crown' on the pineapple we simply could not let it go to waste! With the wonderful imaginations of the children we created our own long lasting Piney the Pineapple who now lives in our pre school room!

18.01.2022 As educators we are always looking for ways to build shape recognition skills, but we want them to be playful and authentically blend in with our other hands-on activities. So we decided to put together a shape recognition experience by doing a little searching.

07.01.2022 One day, on the banks of a billabong, a very clever dingo caught a wombat and decided to make a gooey, brewy, yummy, chewy wombat stew! In this classic Australian picture book, a dingo catches a wombat and wants to cook him in a stew. But the other bush animals have a plan to save their friend. They trick the dingo into using mud, feathers, flies, bugs and gumnuts in his stew, and the result is something the dingo will never forget!
